Uptown Coney Island

My pattie melt, onion rings and chocolate shake were delish. We also got this flaming cheese appetizer that was entertaining and tasty. My husband got the Italian Stallion sandwich and said it tasted good but it was small for the price and had way too much raw red onion. We will totally be back though! I really enjoyed it.

Very busy, but didn't wait too long for a seat. Wait staff was very nice and attentive.

Well, my waitress was super nice and I’m sure this place has some great food. Unfortunately, I saw one of the staff members using his teeth to remove the safety seal from new ketchup bottles because he couldn’t grip the edge with his fingers. Certainly not within any health or food safety guidelines. Unfortunately, we opted to leave before receiving any food. We did mention this to other restaurant staff. They were very apologetic, corrected the employee, and said they would be throwing all of the ketchup bottles away. I appreciate their attention to the matter but didn’t feel this was the best place to choose for a meal.

This Coney Island is pretty busy at breakfast time, but the service was relatively fast, waitresses were all very friendly, and the price was just right. The restaurant looked and felt clean, and the bathroom upkeep was nicely maintained. I enjoyed going to this Coney Island, and would recommend it as a good place for an impromptu meal or inexpensive date.

Good place. Not super cheap but good food.

So many delicious and wonderful choices, it was difficult to choose what to get. Fancy French toast, regular French toast, normal breakfast, skillets, breakfast burrito, breakfast bagel, etc. I went with the home made corn beef hash and it was one of the best I've ever had. Not sure I agree that whole "no straw given unless asked" policy is solely for helping the environment but hey, it Ann Arbor so I guess I should expect those types of agendas there.

Very nice little Coney island, seemed very clean. The was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

I've come here with my family to the Ann Arbor location for a long time and I've never been disappointed. The staff are wonderful and the owner is amazing! Very family oriented and if you have any special requests/needs they almost always make it happen for you. They also have carry out, so if your in a rush or don't want to eat inside, just call and order to go. The food is just as good!

First rate diner. My whole family absolutely loved the food. The service was fast, friendly, and accurate. I will definitely be back to try breakfast. (which is available all day) *Update - The breakfast is amazing.

Excellent fries! The coffee was far better than your average diner fries.

The burger was great. Shake was great. Service was great, but the taco salad was not so great! Very watery and greasy. The lettuce was dinner salad and had carrots and cabbage in it. Just not good at all. Everything else was good.
