Uptown Cafe

Best steak I've ever had! Cooked to perfection and accompanied with some fresh baked bread and tasty onion rings! The staff was very friendly and attentive, very enjoyable atmosphere.

My family and I stopped to eat on our way to Garden City, KS. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon so we were able to get a table and our food rather quickly. I had a reuben sandwich with onion rings and my husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, and German fries (fried potatoes topped with grilled onions). Not all their food is "scratch" made but is still fresh and tasty. The restaurant is located in an older building with a lot of character and appeared clean and tidy. Located on the corner of Main St. and 2nd, it's a family restaurant that is a local favorite and has been around for about 50 years that serves tasteful, hearty portions of cafe style food at a fair price with good service.

We love to eat & visit at the Uptown Cafe or the Club D'Est, both have the best food around!! We have taken friends and family from out of town, and they have been blown away by the food !! You will never leave hungry ....The owners can't be beat, so welcoming & happy you came in!!!

We wanted something other than fast food for lunch. This place exceed our expectations with great lunch specials, fast service, easy parking on main street and very reasonable prices (about what we would have spent at a drive through).

The food was overpriced and bland on every account. I get the feeling they don't have any seasonings at all in the kitchen, and the meat tasted like it had been cooked from frozen. Half of my steak was overcooked, the other half was ok on that front but super bland.Seems like more of a hang out and drink spot for locals. The place is old and creaky, and I got the impression that they thought it was fancy or something. It's not. Maybe 60 years ago it was.I guess I don't have a whole lot of nice things to say. If I was traveling through again, I'd skip this place. Overall rating: 2.77 lemmings out of 13

We eat here each year when we pass through Pratt. Nice open restaurant with good lighting and quiet enough to visit. Good food selection. We each had chicken and noodle and mashed potato special. Served with a cinnamon roll. Wish I had asked for the roll to be warmed. It was good but a bit dry.

The food here is exquisite,and the people here are kind and timely food is always a plus I'm proud to say my sister works here so go on in and enjoy the great food

We love this place. Always good service. Atmosphere is great. They give you a lot of food. They also give you a discount if you pay cash instead of credit card.

Delicious food and atmosphere! The roast beef and mashed potato meal was exactly how I remembered when growing up here.
