In a neighborhood called Ivy City is Union Kitchen, an incubator for local food and beverage companies. Union Kitchen Grocery is the store that sells their items and other local goods.This location is one of several locations and one of the largest. Located in Shaw, it doubles as a store and cafe. They sell local goods from alcohol to greeting cards to snacks. They have a grab-n-go area as well as a cafe that brews coffee and makes sandwiches, etc. If you have a sweet tooth, order their famous gooey chocolate chip cookie. It's very good!They have an area inside with tables, outlets, and wifi if you want to stay awhile. When the weather is nice, they have an outdoor patio.

Absolutely love their breakfast sandwiches and delicious drip coffee! Try the waffle bun. YUM. Experienced really friendly service as well!
