This was an amazing laid back night out. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. Our server, DJ, was attentive and top notch. The drinks were potent and well balanced, and the entertainment that they had was just right for the laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend - we will be back!

I have been staying in the hotel for a week. I walked in on my last night and get to have the pleasure to hear Matt DeRosier play his guitar. I travel all over for work and I already loved the restaurant and hotel, but this was a true treat. Not only was it great to have live music, but Matt specifically made it awesome. The perfect songs, the perfect volume, and the perfect energy put the exclamation point on my first trip to Minneapolis. I wont stay anywhere else every time I come to town and I will make sure I'm here on Thursday nights even if I have to stay an extra day just to see Matt play. Ohh and the restaurant and bar is awesome as well! I can guarantee you won't be disappointed coming to Umbra and the Canopy, just make sure you are here on Thursday nights!

YUM. I love a good sandwich, and wow, Umbra has them. The buffalo chicken sandwich is out of this world. And the fries are totally drool-worthy with that volcanic salt (a total #TreatYoSelf moment). Also this is strange but I LOVE the silverware. Just heavy enough and sturdy but delicate. A good spoon and fork matters!

They had everything I was looking for on a quiet Sunday afternoon. I sat bar-side to have the buffalo chicken sandwich. The bartender and food was great!

The food here is amazing. Chef Kevin Aho is brilliant when it comes to cooking. I am a very picky eater and he got me to try his champagne sauce for the chicken breast and it was amazing. The food was cooked very well. However my favorite part about everything was the dessert. The chocolate cake with chocolate mousse was incredible and when people ate the cheesecake they said it melted in their mouth. Bravo

Ordered their "Date night" special and it was delicious. The meatballs were full-flavored but not too spicy, and as good as the sausage flat bread was, the bruschetta was even better.
