Wins on price and quality not ambiance or comfort. And that's a big win. No nonsense, touch screen ordering with a wide enough selection of sushi to satisfy most everyone. Business was brisk with to-go and delivery so it wasn't the fastest dine-in experience but some tasty miso and good salmon made it worthwhile. In other words, I think the discount makes up for the crowded interior and so-so service. It's about the fish not the decor.

I love ugly sushi because its FRESH MADE. they deliver fresh made, also you can dine in if you're smart enough to read the sign in the front door that says please use back door. If you are worthy, you too can dine in and watch others as they attempt to open a locked door.

The quality of the sushi here is mediocre. Not whole-foods bad, but just not superb quality. The restaurant is usually gloomy, but I have been going here for a long time and the prices are good. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite.UPDATE: This place just underwent a huge makeover. The restaurant now allows you to order from computer and the food comes faster. The quality of the sushi is a bit better but still not unbelievable quality.

First time here and we really enjoyed the salmon skin salad, rainbow roll and soft shell crab roll. Food was good a must try. Small menu but it has good selections.

Hidden gem! Limited menu but everything is pretty good and super affordable. Try it for lunch!

They accept card and cash. But if you pay with card you don’t get the option to Tip, so therefore bring some cash for tip since cooks get down and make you an awesome meal for eating in or for Togo.Reviewed after Corona: They are still Open and helping us get our Sushi Fix! This is My wife’s Favorite sushi spot and the Volcano 🌋 roll DOES NOT disappoint!! I also get the Salmon plate which comes with Fried veggies (tempura). They helped me through the side door, I called 10min ahead while on Fwy from DTLA and once we got there the order was ready! Owner was so friendly, even hooked me up with some Purell from a bottle he had Nearby! Now that’s Customer service and looking out for your fellow humans!

NO LONGER CASH ONLY!!Very affordable, delicious sushi! There isn't a lot of seating inside (if memory serves there are 3 tables which seat 4 each), but it's not typically very busy. Highly recommend!
