Tubby's Seafood

You can not leave Savannah without eating at Tubby’s on River Street. Order the catch of the day (we had grilled Snapper), or the crab cake sandwich, while you sit on the deck watching people and ships go by. They serve an individual chocolate pecan pie that is heaven. You can diet tomorrow! If you are lucky enough to sit at Earnest’s table, you will have the best service in the city.

A very long wait in the rain for party of 2..! Many others walked in without waiting. I went inside to use the restroom and saw three huge tables of people all with empty eaten plates on their cellphones! They were going to wait to see the fireworks. After two hours, we left and got a pizza made to order and two beers... Then Tubby's texted.. Your table is ready.. 🙄That was 3.5 hours after giving the hostess our number. Don't bother unless you like waiting for expensive frozen fish.

Josh was was an excellent waiter. He took care of everything which made a difference. Pleasant food pleasant service. Will definitely be back.

The food is amazing, it has good ambiance and good service. There was an incident with a member of our part who was pescetarian who ordered a fish dish and got served pieces of fried chicken mixed in with her fish. The manager apologized, but said that it does happen sometimes so be aware of that.The only other downside is accessibility. If you are not able to walk up steep steps the restaurant is not accessible from street level. This is important to know for anyone who walks with assistance or who uses a wheelchair, or parents who might have strollers.

Dog friendly restaurant, good food on river front. We sat on patio with the dogs. Waitress was super friendly. She gave us water bowl for dogs and was very attentive. We enjoyed our food. Fried green tomatoes and shrimp po boy. So enjoyed the location, the food and the dog friendly attitude.

Ordered crab legs wasn’t told until the last minute that the crackers were not available! Manager was a witch!

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here with family and we all loved the food! Brandi was a great waitress too. Nice to sit outside and see the river while eating. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

My girlfriend was hungry. I was hungry.I ordered a Savannah Sweet Tea and Sausage Bowl, she ordered Sapelo Shrimp and Cream Omelette with a mimosa. Not disappointed in the slightest but not the best food I've ever had. Service was wonderful, price was okay, food was well prepared, pretty, and delightful to eat.

Very nice atmosphere, overlooking the Savannah river. Bloody Mary not too spicy but nice smooth kick. Fried green tomatoes.

Cold fries, fried shrimp po boy , with hot lettuce, hot plates cold food.. on a Thursday... highly disappointed.... the best thing is the paper straws...

Today was my very first experience at Tubby’s in Savannah was wonderful! Ryan was our server and he was so great! Good food and GREAT service! Will be back for more!

Tubby's is a great bar/restaurant and fun place to meet people from all over the world. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of their wine (I'm a wine lover), but the food and service is great and it's directly in the center of River Street action on the balcony. Always stop there when I'm in Savannah and have Mimosas, in place of wine. All fairness, I haven't looked at by the bottle list.

Good seafood and views

We were just strolling and looking for a place to eat dinner with outdoor seating and a view of the river. The food, drinks, and service were outstanding. Our waiter Charles very attentive, and frequently checked up on us. There is live music and a great general atmosphere. The food and drinks came out in a timely manner; the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly (and the portions are pretty big too). Good prices too! If you haven't tried this place yet you definitely should - you will not be disappointed!

We loved coming here, food was great, the buffalo shrimp was the best, food in general was very good, we were happy to be able to eat with our Dog, our waiter was very boring and cold but it's ok
