Wonderful food with big portions and not too pricey! Fast service too! The Shrimp Spring rolls were super fresh and delicious. We had the sweet and sour shrimp soup and the prawn with bamboo shoots and mushrooms. Both were amazing! We'll definitely be back!

Tu Lan is one of the best restaurants in the city, or in any city. The quality is second to none and the value for money can’t be beat. Not to mention the wide variety of dishes to choose from.

A little hole in the wall that serves good food! The place is tiny downstairs but they have more seats upstairs but still a bit small! The food is awesome and service is ok. The price is standard, not super cheap but not expensive! Get your food to go because it gets hot and crowded inside! You may have to wait for a table to sit!!! The staff are here to serve you and not too often that they smile.

Last time I visited Tu Lan was almost 20 years ago with the love of my life at the time. The love of my life has changed many times all these years but Tu Lan still remains awesome. The best!!

With all the high ratings and reviews i expected this restaurant to be much better that it was. The soup is just salty but without any of the complex spice that I expect and used to for many other in these restaurants. My soup was lukewarm it’s not piping hot like I expected. The beef I have was not fresh on the dry side and without much flavor.If this is what San Francisco have to eat in PhoI I feel sorry for you guys, you don’t know what you’re missing.

Fair priced, big servings, and quite yummy. The do a good job with the lemongrass seasoning. It's very small and tight inside, and the staff may not put on a fake smile, but these are all some of the great things that make it semi-authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The only bad experience I had was one time there were multiple hairs in my summer roll, however, they replaced them for me with no issue.
