Trent River Coffee Shop

I asked for an iced vanilla latte. He put ice, vanilla syrup, and milk in blender. Once blended, he poured in a large cup and added one shot of espresso on top. Tasted like sweet milk with crushed ice... Wouldn't recommend for those expecting the barista to have a great knowledge of coffee. Cash only.

What a great place. Labor Day visit. They were closing and were still able to serve us. Excellent.

I've been here several times and this place is roomy and has a nice atmosphere. They also have local artists that come play. This is more a place for someone who knows quality coffee then someone who wants a Starbucks Deluxe.

Ed has kept the coffee shop open for the past 25 years. Very laid back, friendly atmosphere. Ed makes it a point to introduce everyone who comes in and sits down at the bar. Good wifi.

Funky, fun coffee hang out. Very eclectic. They sell vinyl records and have a piano. The locals treat you like friends and are very helpful. Extremely dog friendly. I hear they have good music at night sometimes. My only complaint was the bathroom. It was a little scary. It had high ceilings. I don't think they look up when they clean. Lots of spiderwebs.

We stepped in this afternoon for some coffee to warm up on a cold rainy afternoon. The decor was basic with a lot of "stuff" stored inside. The guy behind the counter handed us a menu while talking to a lady drinking her coffee. He glanced back at us to take our order while continuing to talk to the lady at the bar. He poured our coffee from a carafe sitting on the counter which was warm but not hot. Coffee wasn't bad but should have been hot. Counter staff not very attentive.

Good atmosphere. Coffee is OK but nothing to write home about. Fun place to hang out and chat, though.

Good atmosphere but I felt like ordering my drink was an annoying imposition to the last behind the counter. The drink was underwhelming to say the least.

First time and the coffee was amazing.

A MUST stop everytime I come to New Bern. Ed is wonderful. The coffee perfect and his Homemade Chai make my Almond Milk Latte betond great. Artwork and music plus quality homemade local art cards for all occasions. Love Love Love.

Ed is a great conversationalist, and he serves a great cup of coffee! The best place to go to meet people and enjoy a real coffee house experience.

Good coffee and friendly faces. I love that they support the arts and host music and poetry.
