Trattoria 225 is a hidden secret gem of a restaurant on Harrison Street in the Art District of Oak Park. The food is consistently perfect. The service is the same. Every time I leave this place I ask myself why isn't the restaurant packed. I think anyone who likes Italian food would appreciate this restaurant.

Nice restaurant, good food and good service! Lobster ravioli is tasty, so is the beef rib with risotto. Their pizzas also are better than I expected. They had very friendly and prompt service when we came in. I have never seen the restaurant completely filled so there never seems to be a wait so you can expect to be seated quickly. Our food was prepared much faster than we expected. The restaurant has a nice ambience and is the nicest restaurant in the Harrison Street Art District. We have also ordered pickup from them several times with no issues.

I haven't even eaten my food but I place a carry out order Spaghetti Carbonara and wanted to have a drink at the bar and wait. Now there is visible seats at the bar but I'm told to stop and wait because there isn't any space. I'm confused because I see at least 3 open seats. The greeter advised me that the bartender was really busy so I couldn't sit. Luckily my food was already ready and I was able to pay as I'm doing so 3 ladies white of course are leaving the bar. So needless to say my first impression is that this is clearly a racist establishment and prefers certain customers. Just disgusting and disappointing and as I write this I should have left my order to there. LESSON LEARNED

Food was very good. The short rib ravioli was especially lovely. Food came quickly. Atmosphere is lovely. Part of our wait staff was a little standoffish, at one point he came over and just stood there... He was waiting for our order, but it was weird, he didn't say "have you decided" or "what can I get for you?" Just stood there.

Went there in summer and had a wonderful mussels dish. Yesterday I went again, the ravioli entree was very good but a small portion. Caesar dressing was not good. They give you a plate of olive oil for your bread and getting a bus boy to get me more was impossible! Creme brûlée was the worst I’ve ever had! And I was charged for someone else’s bottle of wine. No ‘sorry’. Just- I wondered where that went- glad you found it. I’ll think twice about going back- and I’ll double check my bill!!!!

Have been to Trattoria for salad, pizza or pasta dishes and they have all been great. Family lives within walking distance and we go every time we visit. Staff is great and especially good with young children.

I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad to go. Never had a grilled salad before but this was delicious, it had a smoky flavor and the lettuce was still firm the homemade creamy Caesar dressing was terrific. This place is located in the art district of Oak Park, which is really become a great area in Oak Park.I also picked up some Portobello ravioli for my son, which he devoured. How do you recommend this place to try. Although I didn't stay the venue on inside is beautiful and spacious
