I would call this an upscale brewpub. Food was excellent. Some beers were very good. Great service.

Good selection of their own beers. We had the MacLellan Stout, which was very tasty! Dinner was a little pricey, but good. I had the yellowtail tuna tartare (with potato chips) appetizer and a side of mac and cheese. My friend had the house made pretzels (with 2 dips), trap rock bacon plate and also a side of mac and cheese. Service was very good and my only complaint would be that the potato chips were too fragile to eat with the tuna tartare. I would have preferred a little more light at the table, too.

Corn chowder recommended as starter, and they were right, it is one of best! I had the special spicy burger. I also had brown ale which was good. Last, i had the chocolate stout bread pudding, I wouldnt leave a single crumb or sauce on the plate, it was that good!

Have to go here and try their pulled pork Mac n Cheese. Will gaurentee you will like it! Very tasty

My wife and I drove 2,016 miles from Laredo, Texas, just to eat here. Actually we dropped off a rental truck across the street after moving our daughter to NJ from Laredo and we're looking for a place for lunch. We are very happy with our decision. The service was great and the food was most excellent! Too bad it is a 3.5 day drive from home.

I go with my wife to this nice place many times a year! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I visit this place at least once a month. The cooking is excellent, the crew is welcoming and the cost is reasonable. I enjoy eating in this place over a rich supper.

Best beer selection..you won't be disappointed

Delicious place with an excellent craft beer selection. They brew a nice variety of beers and have fantastic food to pair it with. Bar tenders were friendly and the prices were reasonable.

Amazing jewel hidden in the Berkeley heights suburbs! Was visiting Berkeley heights & tested this place for the first time & LOVED IT! & Then came back again! MUST TRY pepper crusted salmon & pork brisket. They are a local speciality & really really good! AND Water logged Bullet cocktail. IT IS AMMMAAAAZING! If you are in luck ask for Rich, the bartender to make it. Ask him to add a slice of jalapeno. I didn't know bulleit bourbon mixes this well with watermelon puree! Highly recommend Trap Rock

Had a very enjoyable lunch here. Beer and wine were both very good as was both of our dishes. The most expensive item on our tab was the specialty glass of wine for $20, but everything else was reasonable. Our server was super charming and took very nice care of us. I would definitely go back if I lived closer (we happened to be in the area to attend a viewing unfortunately). Give it a try.

Great vibe with amazing food and drinks

Great atmosphere!!! Good for a casual dinner or a dressier Celebration. Seamless service! Perfect sized menu with something for everyone! Large wine and beer menu. It was a little bit hard to hear the hostess and waiter because it was loud in the dining area. Oh and the biscuits the serve before the meal are to die for!!!

This is a lovely place to get a fine beer and or cocktail and wine. The lovely Colonial decor and blends nicely with the fine service presented by the lovely staff here. The prices are slightly high but the food is still delicious. This is the place definitely worth the trip.

Food and service are never a let down... Very friendly bar keeps and great bar food.
