Traditional Korean Beef Soup

Any dish I had was a delight:kimchi, dumplings, soups. All is fresh, very tasty and there is plenty of it.Service is really friendly and good.We come from Seattle and any time we are in the area we make sure to have a meal there.

As the restaurant name says, it is a good place to get a beef soup (aka Sul Lung Tang). The staff are friendly, nice, and caring. The soup is served with two side dishes - napa cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi. Its bone broth was flavorful and you can add salt and sliced green onion as you'd like. I also ordered a 6-piece of Korean dumpling (aka Mandoo). It was handmade but slightly small. It tasted ok but couldn't see anything special or outstanding compared to frozen dumplings I've had.

We had great service and food. The soup was delicious and the kimchi was great too. The only issue I had was the seafood pancake. There weren't a lot of seafood in it. For the price they were charging, they should just called it regular pancake.

It was very busy around 3p on a Saturday showing how popular this is becoming. Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait more than 15-20 mins before we sat down and they immediately brought out the food. This is one of my favorites now in Fed Way for relatively quick Korean fare. I would recommend it if you’re not a vegan or vegetarian. I’m honestly trying to eat less meat, but it’s hard when you have options like this. The staff are very friendly too.

Straight up soul food. One of the if not the only Sullungtang restaurant in the region. Nonetheless, it was delicious.

Best place for Korean Beef Soup. The broth has a good "stickiness" from the bone marrow boiled down to perfection. The soup is meaty, hot, and filling. Great for chilly days. I like to throw lots of green onions on. Great Kim Chi and Radish Kim Chi. If you're looking for a place that the local Koreans go to, this is the place. They specialize in Beef Soup and have a menu that reflects it. You won't find many items on the menu that isn't well represented by the bone marrow beef broth.

Yea.....I mean compared to Pho Thai across the street this soup was bland...too hot as in heat not spice...where the noodles were even falling apart. You have to add your own salt and boy did I have to add a lot. But as beefy as the restaurant smelled, the broth itself was not beefy in flavor nor...taste of much of anything. The dumplings were ok....the seafood pancake just tasted of fried green onion basically. I was very dissspointed honestly. The restaurant was super hot like they had no vents in the kitchen too. I wont be back. Two stars because the waitress was very nice.

Sure this isn't in the middle of Federal way, but the deceptively simple eats and excellent wait staff makes this a place worth going to. I really like taking my mother here since she can control the salt level exactly - which makes controlling her heart pressure a little bit easier. If you are vegetarian and it is summer, the soy bean noodle soup is a treat. Otherwise, I'd stick to #3.

The beef soup is incredible! That and the 6 dumplings was enough for two people. Definitely coming back

Small Korean restaurant. They make excellent soups. Kimchi tasted good,too. I will come back for sure.

Came in here with few expectations and left delighted. They masterfully keep the traditional Korean flavor in their soup, arguably the best soup you can get. 1 star off because of the lack of customer attentiveness.

Opens early and a quick, easy meal. The side dishes don’t get filled fast but if you ask, they give more than enough. Solid spot!

Best Sulungtang in pugetsound. Dumpling was so good as well.
