Go to the old one for HEAPS more shops more yummy food. Food here is overpriced and selection is much smaller . They also still have a fish market there. Just go there. Don't come here unless you come at 6am for the tuna auction

Would give 0 stars if possible. Very boring. Tourist trap. Uneventful. Can not see or experience much at this new location. I would highly suggest not visiting here and going to the old market location instead if you are looking to have fun and a good experience.

About restaurant areaA few expensive restaurants and meals that you can try in Tokyo, but the Island itself very interesting, like another word in the far future.

There’s a garden on top of the building where visitors can have a great panoramic view of Tokyo bay.

If you are a tourist, do not go here! There is nothing to see here that is worth your time. The wholesaler portion is off limits to the public, so as a tourist, all you can see is a one metre wide window of people packing fish, an asian style mall with individual stalls of tourist trap trinkets, and about a dozen restaurants that are extremely expensive and overpriced because they know that it is a tourist trap.

visited the new "Tsukiji" market after they have been relocated. it's a lot cleaner now but further from the action too.. the new place definitely lost a bit of the flavour...got a bit lucky because a few of the sushi places are just about to close, managed to grab a few pieces to satisfy my cravings.

Tourists DO NOT GO! There is nothing to see. The auctions take place at 5:30-6:30am and then it’s all over. Absolutely nothing to do after noon, as all the souvenir vending stalls close too. There is an “observation area” where you see the rooms where they do the auctioning, but they’re empty. Waste of time to trek all the way out there unless you’re going to buy overpriced sushi. I’m sure the sushi is good but we didn’t dare pay the 4000¥ + for a lunch set menu.

Must visit place in Tokyo. Come here for the fresh, cheap and tasty sushi and sashimi. Some people said there's nothing to see here. You don't come here to see things you come here to eat!

The new facility is newer, cleaner, and not as chaotic as the old one (no getting frightened or splashed by the mini truck drivers). And I'm sure the vendors are happier. But an era is over, and I will miss the old, shambling, run down facilty's gritty charm. At least I can carry the memory of it with me.There is extensive signage with valuable history and educational info, but most of them are in Japanese. So take your smart phone with the QR app which will bring up the English version of the sign. Actually a much better method since you can save the links for later viewing.Lots of good restaurants in both fish markets along with other shops in the intermediate fish market.

Overrated. Feels like lining up for sushi inside a shopping mall now. The good old times waiting on a hundred year old street in Tsukiji is gone. Also the sushi restaurants feel like fast-food restaurants now. Toyosu is not that great.

It's a spacious and modern fish market with none of the charm of Tsukiji. The tuna auction was still great but it's just too commercialised. It's sad to see that the flow of people has decreased dramatically as a result.

If you cant get there before 7am--I wouldn't bother coming unless you want to try sushi dai or high end sushi.Food is better but pricier at toyuso (restaurant quality) rather than tsukiji (street food quality)

Tsukiji Market has been demolished and gone, now the Tokyo fish and fruit wholesale operations are at Toyosu. The market is much much bigger now, very modernized, tidy and clean. While a new location maybe inevitable, Toyosu lacks the ambience of Tsukiji and is less human. The tuna auction now just like an exhibit in the museum; the sushi restaurants and souvenir shops resemble those on B2 floor of a shopping mall.Maybe many people will share my feeling... I miss Tsukiji!!!

What a shame. I came to Tokyo in 2009 and went to the original Tsukiji fish market, which was exciting and interactive. You used to be able to walk amongst the stalls and see all the action. Toyosu is a waste of a taxi ride! You can only see a small amount of tuna through small windows from an observation deck. Boring. Don't bother.
