Torai Grill & Sushi

Amazing local small spot for sushi, and other Japanese dishes. The physical restaurant is small and there is not a lot of space for seating, but most orders are take out so it is not too big of a deal. As soon as you walk in you can smell the food, as the kitchen is open air and right there. Its a quick walk right to the register to either order or pick up. We had a spice salmon hand roll that was delicious, a specialty tuna roll, and the dumplings. It was all excellent and we will definitely be going back.

A small restaurant that’s more of a fusion of Japanese and Korean. Food is good and well presented.

The food was extremely well presented in a way where it was definitely crafted like an artpiece. The quality is what you'd expect at this price and they have a good variety of sake I enjoyed. Would go again.

"Holy cow" and "oh my goodness" were two of the things I said tonight while we were eating here. It could be just as applicable to the fact that I was unaware this place was even here, but these were my reactions to how good the food was. Delicious sushi and genuinely good Korean dishes in a little hole in the wall on Eighth Street.

I did not try the sushi this time, but the ramen and bulgogi bibimbap are really good. The broth was a bit salty, but the flavor more than made up for it. There was a generous helping of pork chashu, and some fresh bokchoy in the mix. Best of all, the staff is super friendly. I'll be back!

Great little spot across from Marine Barracks. It's small, and cozy with terrific food.

I ordered the Dupbap Spicy Pork which was AMAZING. The service was quick and hostess was very kind. Definitely coming back for more.

The food is amazing

The miso soup was the best I've ever had and the sushi was really good. The employees were also very nice. Walking in was a little confusing if you sit and order or go to the counter. Etc.

Really good sushi!! What a little gem. The decor and seating area don't look like much, but wow the sushi! Incredibly fresh and creative rolls.
