Tono Sushi

Fresh food beautifully prepared. Most of the servers speak Japanese which adds a nice layer of authenticity. The dollar sushi portions are smaller than their normally priced counterpart, but still a good value for $1.

Tono Suhsi provides a great experience for those looking to have sushi, noodles, or other Japanese cuisine in the District. The service was fast and friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable time and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend.

I very much enjoy their dishes and customer service, awesome location close to my residence. The employees are always friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed their number 3 lunch combo while in DC for a conference. The sushi was good and I liked the variety offered in the bento combo. It satisfied my craving for Japanese food.

Figured I would try Tono since I had already tried the other Sushi place on the block. The restaurant was nice enough.Lunch started off great - the miso was extremely tasty. I was a little disappointed with my spicy tuna roll (the wrap was a bit on the loose side); it also tasted on the bland side.The sushi-sashimi combination was pretty good (a little smaller slices of fish than I'm used to but a little lower cost as well)All in all, pretty good but not amazing

Food was pretty good and inexpensive, but the service was not. I waited 20 minutes to order, although the food did come pretty quickly after I was able to order. It’s a cute little place, I’d come back at a less busy time.

Not bad for $1 each piece. Not impressed though. Paper thin slices of fish that is not fresh. About the same quality as most ayce or buffet places, but I will prefer the latter options since they are even cheaper.

The sushi is fresh and very good. Great variety of sushi on the menu. The service is excellent and they always get people in tables fast.

Needed to review. I’ve been eating here for over a decade. I love it. A true DC gem. Enjoy!

After literally being forced out of my hotel on a cold and rainy night due to poor dining options and angry old bartenders I found this oasis.Sat at bar, loved it. Oh, they had Uni as well.

Resonably priced sushi menu. Good variety of sushi, clean and cozy ambiance, outdoor seating option, and nice staff.
