Tomo Japanese Restaurant

Sashimi is the thinnest I've seen anywhere. Reminds me of the future Taco Bell from Demolition man. The presentation is lovely, but the portion is lacking. Manager had to call server on the phone to bring my cheque. This place was outstanding 10 years ago. Now it's pretty unremarkable.

Called ahead on a Friday night without any problems. Great entertainment and great food!

Usually order sushi to go, but we decided to take our family of 4 to dine in (keep in mind we went in the middle of the week.) They didn't seem busy and we sat at a table, not hibachi. We 4 had ordered our meals and proceeded to eat. When it came time for the bill, we were put off by the bill total. Gratuity was added to the bill. We would understand this to be customary in bigger parties/groups... Not even fancy restaurants really add gratuity unless you have a party of 6 or more. (But a family of 4, middle of the week, restaurant is not busy and sat at a normal table.) Felt a little blind sided and would have tipped more than the gratuity if we were better informed of this policy. (If this was stated on the menu and was overlooked, I apologize.)
