Tommy's Detroit Bar and Grill

Found this place by the reviews that were online. So we showed up later on a Friday night and this place was insanely busy. We went to the back and sat down for a little bit before we were greeted. Once the server realized we were there he was apologetic and attentive for the remaining of the time. The food came out and it was fresh and hot. Beer could have been colder though. After dinner, we inquired as to going under business where there is a tunnel that was discovered. The bartender (Older blonde female) took time from behind the bar to take us down and explain the history to us. Even though we were out of town, they offered us a ride to the Red Wings game on a shuttle service. If you ask me would I come back here, I absolutely would. People and food were well worth it.

The BEST burgers in town, hands down!! They make the burger patties fresh, never frozen, and best of all the tater tots bring you back to grade school! If you have to go to a bar or just in need for real Detroit food come on in. Teresa is so hospitable, she makes that place home.

Awesome prohibition era Detroit dive bar. Great bar food at a great price. Service is always easygoing and pleasant.

This is a true neighborhood bar (but with great food). Its been a long time since I've been somewhere that actually wants to build a relationship with their patrons. Love this place.

Tommy's bar is a must if you visit Detroit, within five minutes of being there it feels like you are at your old hometown bar. Tommy and his staff can't do enough for you and the food is what you would get yes , you got it back home. No phony chain restaurant or menu here. So let's get to the history of this building , yes everything you heard is real and the tour of the speak easy/ tunnel is unreal given by Tommy's staff. The final thing is how Tommy meets and greets you just like a true owner does that is proud of his establishment .

Small dive bar with historical value. The owner and staff are very friendly and they have later hours. Also food can be purchased if you're looking for a late night bite while drinking.

Delicious food and great drinks! Good prices too. Bonus: You get a bowl of popcorn when you first come in.

Stopped here during a night out with friends, love the small-town bar atmosphere and bar tender was nice. Would definitely come back!

Fun place, good beers, friendly staff, though it gets a little crowded when brewery tour groups come through on the weekends. Excellent selection of board games or you can bring your own. food was amazing!!
