Go here for lunch!!!!Nice place, lovely staff and good food, decent and fair price, similar to comparable places, this has better food!!! Grilled Chicken and salad looked VERY nice, my colleague had that and it was very good, i had a breakfast and that was well cooked and i loved the sausages (apparently made specially for tommy's cafe) thanks to all the staff, i will 100% visit if in the area again!!!

It's an excellent example of its type. Do not expect Heston Blumenthal behind the counter. Frankly, he wouldn't be welcome. Delicious, generous, friendly and warm, pocket money to pension is willingly spent. I'd pay double. If they opened on a Sunday, it would be the full five stars, not the 4.96 I currently give them.

A truly excellent local café of the greasy spoon type, and one of the best of these. Clean, friendly, good value and excellent portions promptly served means a repeat visit will come sooner, not later.I had a full English breakfast from a wide choice on the menu, and they allowed me to substitute my favourite tinned tomatoes for the baked beans specified. The coffee was a bit weak, but as it was after 3pm, I don't want it at my usual morning strength, and it was preferable to the tea. That is the sadly usual teabag in a mug, a sad indictment of modern times. Tea should be made in a pot, but those who insist on that are now in the minority. I blame mini-Holland, or at least the common market.
