Great little hole in the wall bar. They have awesome happy deals from 3-9 every day. The food is fantastic. I would call this a laid back bar where anyone is welcome.

Extremely crowded and loud, couldn't even get to that bar for a drink after standing in line for 5 minutes. I've had drinks there a couple of times and they have great prices. The layout of the place just isn't great on busy nights.

I love this place! I don't get to it very often, but every experience has been great. The staff seems to go above and beyond to make people feel welcomed without being overbearing. It certainly doesn't get the credit it deserves.I'd suggest anyone (over 21) that actually wants to go sit and have a drink, maybe a bite to eat, in a comfortable little place with no frills try it out.

This place is great. It was recommend to me by a friend and I have been multiple times. The food is good and the drinks are also a great price. This is a great Dive bar in my opinion. Its also located next a cool retro arcade and another great restaurant. Check this place out if you are looking for a drink or some good simple food in Johnson City.

Haven't had any of the food, as I go after work a couple nights a week to enjoy a refreshing drink before heading home. Decent beer selection, drink specials almost every night, and a young college crowd make Tiptons a fun and exciting pub to talk, sing, dance, and just have fun. Smoking is allowed indoors and when the place is crowded it can make for a somewhat smokey atmosphere, this is why I have it 4 stars instead of 5.

It's a bit of a dive with many intoxicated people staggering about (even at 5 on a Sunday!), but the food was good (burger and wings) and the service very friendly and prompt.The fries were WAY too salty, though (and I really like salt)
