Tipsy Pig BBQ

Looking for a fast bite without the typical “burger” style, my daughter and I decided to try this family owned BBQ joint within a local gas station. They have their own smoke hut outside too, and a counter inside. The whole place is bright, clean, friendly and inviting. The people are super friendly, and the menu is full of traditional southern BBQ choices and a few neat twists. The pulled pork is solid, good smoke flavor, low fat content, well cooked. The home made lemonade is an unexpected treat! There’s 5 choices of sauce and all of them are solid efforts and the sweet one called “regular” is my favorite. There’s a vinegary CAROLINA sauce, 2 levels of spicy sauce, and a mustard based GOLD sauce. Pricing is a bit high for such a neighborhood joint, but their excellent service and delicious food is worth it.

Great food, friendly staff!

I finally had a chance to try this place. I ordered wings and four bones with bread. I was disappointed with the wings. They were rather rubbery and slightly greasy. The smoke flavor was present but overall I do not think I would order them again. However, the ribs were very tasty. Tender, flavorful and absolutely worth the trip. My visit was later in the afternoon/evening so maybe that was the reason for the sub-par wings. The staff was friendly and welcoming which is always a pleasant surprise. I will be back...but only for the ribs.

Quite likely the best pulled pork in the county and likely beyond and, surprisingly, definitely the best Brunswick stew this side of Stone Mountain. The freshly smoked meats available are succulent and flavourful, with the smokey ring and bark truly necessary for good flavour. The mac & cheese as well as the cole slaw are a bit weak, but in light of the choices of stew and baked beans, they simply don't matter. Certainly one of the best restaurants in the area and worth the hole-in-the-wall hunt.

For a small place the staff was great and the bbq was really good.

I have been hearing and reading about this place for a long time. I finally decided to give it a try after my wife grabbed a pulled pork sandwich and couldn't say enough about how wonderful it was. I met my wife there for lunch this past Friday and I am glad I did. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. The bbq has just the right amount of smoke and it is tender and moist. The bbq sauces they have to choose from are very good. Sides were good as well, only complaint is perhaps they might work on their mac&cheese a bit to get it up to the level of everything else! If you like bbq then you must try this place!!

I walked in wanted to try the food until my niece went into the bathroom.. HORRIBLE site..I just could not eat there.

Literally went there 3 times around 11/12 pm for 2 weeks ( maybe i just had a bad experience once)and the girl with the color in her hair left hair in my food twice. If she spent less time flirting with the owner they might be able not to waste my hr long break by taking 20 minutes to fix an order. The employees talk about smoking maybe the owners need to drug test the employees and it will get better. Until then I am avoiding this place. I tried getting my order changed but the smaller girl had an attitude like it was my problem. Rude and unprofessional. 1 star is generous.

The pork was good. But the Redneck Cuban stole the show. There's absolutely nothing Redneck about it .It's a legit Cuban sandwich. Absolutely perfect. Get past the idea you're eating in a gas station. A hidden gem and hole in the wall. Support your local small businesses!

The pork and chicken are very tasty. It's just a bit odd eating inside, but no big deal. Will have to try the deserts on my next visit. You'll have to pay station clerk and then bring receipt back to BBQ person.

Very good bbq. The meat was very tender and just fell off the bone. I had the mustard sauce.

Amazing little gem of a place. Its not much for a eating environment being that it is in a gas station but the food is amazing. The Brunswick stew is hands down my favorite.

Great food, great service, awesome sauces, and definitely worth the drive! The ribs are to die for, and their cobblers are delicious!
