Three Star Bar-B-Q

Bring your appetite! Ordered the BBQ combo which was two meats (I did half slab and half chicken) and two sides. Ribs and chicken have a great dry rub and the house BBQ sauce was good. Owner of restaurant is a great guy and made my entire family laugh while placing and bringing our order.

Good place if you're in the area. Wouldnt make a special trip here.

My group of friends had been here but I had not. I heard a lot about this place. You have to experience it yourself. It was amazing. The ribs were superior. The portions were huge. The chicken noodle soup and bbq sauce is to scream for. I'll be back soon.

Really nice menu. Not too extensive but plenty of options. Had the brisket sandwich witch was really good. Wife had the country fried steak and said it was well done sand like the gravy. Very fair prices and the employees made us very welcome. Also, being that it’s was lunch the waiter kept good pace to get us in and out without feeling rushed. Went there on a whim but plan on returning often.

I have always loved the ribs from three star. They have a dry rub on them and are very good. Our waiter was very friendly and we reminisced about the restaurant when it was in Hamtramck. My family has been going to three star for about 30 years and are very happy they moved to Clinton Township. I recommend the short ribs with the dry rub. They also have baked ribs with bbq sauce. All the food is really good.

Friendly atmosphere and lean ,meaty, perfectly seasoned bbq spare ribs. My son and I tried their newly offered mustard sauce. To our surprise it was a delicious change. To be fair, mom and daughter still prefer original sauce. Try them yourselves and let me know what you think. Any way, Im so glad they relocated to the macomb location as it is only minutes away for a family dinner out.

I have been going here for years, they have the best ribs. THEY ARE NOT FALL OFF THE BONE! Do not expect them to be. They are moderately priced, just know some items might cost more.

The best ribs! These are not the boiled ribs that you get everywhere else. These are ribs that make you glad you are a meat eater. You have to CHEW them off the bone, the way ribs are meant to be eaten. They are not coated with bottled barbecue sauce, a dry rub is used. Guess what. it tastes like well seasoned ribs, not a bottle of open pit. Friendly service was a bonus. Definitely will be back!

On my first visit I ordered the chicken tenders, a true baseline of a restaurant, and they were wonderfully battered and fried, no hard bits or crags like some places, and tasted great. Afterwardthe owner suggested I try the ribs as it is what they do best, so the next day I took him up on that and he wasn't lying; the ribs were cooked perfectly in my opinion and had a great consistency, he said they aim for them being nice and meaty but not to fall off the bone and delivered just that. Aside from the food quality it was at a good price and with plenty of seating and a friendly staff I recommend trying this place out if you are in the area
