Thirty Bales

The waitress was fairly annoying with all her recitations of the trivia and history of the place. The overhead music was very loud. The table in the booth was very very sticky due to the finish reacting poorly with the wood??? The food was excellent. I had a cheese burger, with delicious spicy fries, 2 people had walleye, which they raved about. The carrot cake was also excellent, with mounds of frosting.

Food was average... service was average... should strive to be better...

Good draft selection, lots of variety to choose from. Thirty Bales has a very nice modern decor. Place is very clean and well decorated. Food selection was so so in my opinion. -Worth a try if your in the neighborhood.The food prices were a little expensive for what you received.

Love the giant cinnamon roll to share. Attentive service and a nice patio to enjoy brunch

Went in thinking hamburger, but decided on the Pan Fried Walleye. GOOD choice! This was the best Walleye I have had since Sunsets in Wayzata closed. Light cracker coating, served hot from the pan on a bed of Wild Rice. Photo only shows one of the filets -- meal is two -- meal was shared with my companion. Saw a lot of great looking burgers coming from the kitchen -- maybe next time, but maybe the Walleye again. Forgot to mention that these were a generous sized filets.

Amazing spicey chicken sandwich! Fries are seasoned beautifully. The pickles are so yum. And the staff rocks.

Ate here for the first time tonight. I had the Big blue bacon burger, it was perfect!!!Will be back for sure, next time it’s the Walleye sandwich.Atmosphere is great, good music and not too loud and plenty of T.V’s if that’s what you’re in to.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. It has many healthy options, and of course, some not so, but my meal was amazing. I ordered the Grilled Airline Chicken with Parmesan Risotto and every bite was fantastic. Our server was great and timely. The atmosphere was very nice - we could have a conversation and enjoy our meal.

Dropped in here randomly with the fiancé and I'm so glad we did. I had the smoked airline breast and veggie risotto while he had a walleye sandwich and both were absolutely delicious!!! Adam really went above and beyond to make sure everything was great and we were enjoying our drinks as well as the food, ask for him when you come in, he's the one with the infectious, distinctive laugh.

Great Food, Efficient, (COVID19 EFFICIENT TOO!!), super staff and we Highly Recommend Thirty Bales!! We Can’t wait to be on the outside patio soon!! This is a beautiful, clean, spacious restaurant! “A Must”! It’s a perfect neighborhood restaurant but also a restaurant worth any drive time. Way to go Thirty Bales!! See you soon!!!

We thought avoiding midwestern food was a good idea, but this place is our new favorite in Downtown Hopkins.Presentation, waiter, and taste were top notch. Happy hour was a good deal and sandwiches were delicious. This is a Wayzata-caliber restaurant in Downtown Hopkins.

This place is great and broad, the meals was delightful and the prices were very inexpensive. rapidly, productive service and very welcoming staff. I recommend this place.

A new place in a great location it is a great place to eat.We walked in and the owner 'Todd' greated us, this is a very warm and welcoming restaurant which reflects the owners 30+ years in the business. The decor is modern prairie which Frank Lloyd Wright would approve. Two styles of booth Nice wood and my favourite in the bar padded halves. Very relaxing for cocktails or game watching. The have a great chef with a simple yet broad menu. We tested the basics with requested customizations no problem. Great burger with onions. Many, many, many tap beers both fancy and Two Hearted Ale classics. Good beef in burger. Home made desserts and good food. Sweet bar, casual but good date place. We look forward to trying more of the menu.Thank you!
