Thien Hong

Food was great. But asking for a tip is too much. Lol. I scroll through the comments and appears it's natural for the staff here to demand tip.

I use this as my Go-To for take-out Chinese on the fly! Definitely have the Salt and pepper Squid - huge portion, great flavor.

Dishes are EXCELLENT, but customer service was a bit below average. One waitress was nice, but the other two seemed slightly rude, kind of ignoring you. Other than that, I would recommend this restaurant.

Very good, mostly authentic food. As other reviews state, the pepper salted squid is a must try. So very good! The service was quite good as well and the restaurant, including the bathrooms seemed clean. We will be back!

Frustrated...I usually order to go dinner which has always been delicious, but the price changes every time for the same order. The food was not up to their usual standard yesterday and it was also the most I have been charged yet. I will be taking a break for awhile from here sadly.

they are closed right now! we tried calling and no one answered, so we went in person and it was closed. :( miss the salt & pepper squid. went down the road to zien hong and they had some good squid too!

Love the calamari salted , awhole chicken and veggie seafood. One step better than anything ive ate in seattle. A gem place for portlandian for sure.Been here take.out for few times , eat there for.few time ...and yeah , consistent.

Husband wanted fried squid, it was ok but kinda expensive at 15dollars a plate. Out on Sandy Blvd and a bit of a drive. Took food to go, they were very quick with preparing the food.

The Thien Hong restaurants don't take well as before anymore, especially, Crispy fried Salt and Pepper Squid.

Big portions, you really get your money's worth. The food is good. Not a ton of veggie/vegan options but it's enough to have a good selection for not being a vegetarian or vegan restaurant

Great authentic food, friendly staff, large groups or individuals. The pepper salted squid is the best in Portland.

04/12/17: 3.5 out 5 - Decided to come here after my Wednesday Running Group. We've come here before based on the cravings for Thien Hong's Salt & Pepper Squid.Thien Hong does have other tasty dishes worth trying. The restaurant is spacious and clean, with the staff, for the most part, friendly. This is probably why they've been around for such a long time. We'll keep coming back for that Salt & Pepper Squid, though.Definitely suggest trying out Thien Hong once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

More or less the same good taste as it was 20 over years. Just a bit too salty.
