Great food, great staff. I went in with high expectations and I was not disappointed. My first time here and honestly I must admit that I've been missing out, exactly what you're doing right now reading this. Don't take my word for it, instead go there and you'll thank me after. Highly recommend this place for everyone.

My wife and I were in Utica for a wedding weekend. We chose The Tailor and the Cook for my birthday dinner based solely on positive reviews. We were not disappointed!It was truly fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Both of our meals were presented beautifully and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. I would suggest anyone interested in an incredible meal put this on your list!

The best place for a great meal or even just a solid cocktail. The staff are super attentive and aim to please. The bartenders are experienced and take their time for quality. If you are wanting to chat about alcohols these guys love to chat about it!

Food was good. This is a nice place for a special occasion. Price includes atmosphere.

The waitstaff was amazing. Every person we talked to was super nice and was always checking to make sure everything was good. The food was delicious, so many choices and such big portions. They were following up with us when we noticed we needed a water refill or our plate was empty to remove it. I am really glad we were able to stop in and get a seat right away with a party of 4.

Wonderful experience -we went the week before Christmas. The food was fantastic and it was such a nice intimate atmosphere- I can see why people would take their time :) Our reservation had been delayed an hour so we waited at the bar for a seat. The maître d' was so kind and apologetic about the situation- he was going to offer us wine on the house but since neither me or my boyfriend, he brought out complimentary ginger beer and an appetizer instead. The food was /well/ worth the wait. My boyfriend and I kept trading dishes until each plate was empty because everything tasted amazing. We had such a great time!!! I had never been there before but The Tailor and the Cook is definitely now a favorite

Was visiting from Charleston, SC. We have some of the best restaurants in the world. I would say this place is just as great as the local famous ones in Charleston. Food was excellent, service was some of the best we ever had. Didn't have to ask for anything. Multiple servers for each table. Price is comparable to Charleston and well worth it. Highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic beat restaurant in the area by far the meals are so creative and everything is so balances and delicious. A bit pricey but worth for what your getting definitely would return and a fantastic place to go if your looking for a nice night out.

Absolutely phenomenal food. Was blown away and impressed by the service. The halibut was amazing as well as all the concoctions they would serve you. Great cooking and equally impressive wait staff. Will visit again for sure.

First class all the way, more than expected. I live on the road and live in restaurants this place is worth a stop. Call for reservations.
