Good service, friendly staff, my apple Pie was delicious. Being there looking those old pictures In that historic building I felt like I was back on time. I love it.

Went with another couple for a birthday. The food was fantastic. We were seated right away (although it was a bit crowded). Or server was pleasant and the food came out in a timely manner. I had a burger - highly recommended. Other meals at or table included shrimp and grits as well as the fish and chips. No one was disappointed

Food and beer selection were both excellent. I was so excited to find real German wheat beer. The fried pickles were also some of the best ones I've every had.

Beer - yes, please!Burgers - umm, yeah!Fried pickles - *drool*Love love love this place! One of my favorite spots. They make the patties from scratch, and they are spectacular! I suggest the Raleigh Times Burger with avocado.Don’t forget the theme; the original building was once where they made the newspaper, The Raleigh Times.Despite being an uptown bar and food spot, they are family friendly. There’s a parking deck nearby. We usually park for free.Oh yeah, they have a wonderful cycling beer selection. The staff are nice.

It's a cool bar. Lots of seating and floors. The rooftop is a cool spot. The drinks are good. But for the love of god the food is garbage. It's been hit or miss. Sometimes the food is average. But sometimes it's surprisingly bad. The atmosphere is cool. Service is okay. Bottomline: It's a fun place to hang out with friends and get drinks! But don't order food here. There's far too many amazing places for food just one block away from here in any direction

Wow! What a great spot! The owners of this place own “The Pit BBQ” and “Morning Times” next door which are local staples. They have done a great job separating but also incorporating The Pit into their menu items. I got the Braised Pork burrito and the Mexican in me was hesitant, but I’m so glad I gave it a try because it was amazing! The meat is delicious and the beans and rice inside were a great combination. Add the enchilada sauce and cheese on top and you got you a great clash of Mexican-American-Southern food. All of my favorite things in one meal. Great job guys!

Good spot for a night out with friends just for drinks or for dinner also. This place is spacious. Two wall long bars in separate rooms downstairs, another bar upstairs & even a patio outside rooftop.
