My spouse and I go for our anniversary. The service was wonderful and Chris was fun to talk with. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the GR special 4 course and the beer cheese was so good! We have tried many desserts and the rocky road is our new favorite. We recommend The Melting Pot in Grand Rapids and is worth our a little over an 1 hour drive.

The food stands up to many other chain restaurants. It is average in quality, and as you are paying into the atmosphere and name brand is it a little pricey. The cocktails tasted more like that came out of a premix bottle and not hand crafted. I would stick to beer or wine as your best option. For the money there are better places to eat at, and while you give the fondue and cooking your own food you gain quality of food and drinks.

Best customer service, ever! We went here for my 25th birthday and wanted to get the full fondue experience, but we didn't want to eat our dessert at that moment because my family had already bought cake to eat back at our house. They gave me free passes for all of the desserts that weren't eaten so my boyfriend and I get to go back for free dessert 3 times!! It's great. Have had amazing service every time.

We went here for the first time for my birthday in September (I don't know why it took me so long to write this review) and we honestly had the best service we have had in awhile. The server was so knowledgeable and helped us through every step. She made us feel confident when cooking our own food and explained thoroughly what everything was. The food...don't get me started on it. Everything tasted so fresh. My boyfriend got a bunch of meats and he said they were some of the best fresh meats he had ever had. We were so impressed with this place that we couldn't stop talking about it for days!

I enjoy a lot about this place. The atmosphere, the uniqueness of cooking your food, and the various toppings. It's a bit pricey, but its great when you just visit on very special occasions. For a 4 course meal of salad, appetizer, main meal and dessert tray, one can plan on spending about 45.00 per person, & you won't leave hungry. If your in a hurry though you can order Ala- Carte like only dessert or a appetizer, but 4 course meals are stretched out over 2-3 hours. This place can get crazy busy, so do yourself a favor and call ahead for reservations.

Was only here for a little bit, but fell in love with it instantly. If you are looking for a nice, romantic place to have great food and conversation with not only the people around you, but the workers themselves, this the place to go. 10/10 going there for mine and my wife's date night soon!!!

It was our first time here. Place was clean. We had to move tables because our burner wouldn't heat up. It took awhile for our cheese fondue to melt. Turns out it was nothing but shredded cheese, beer and spices. I thought the cheese would have been something better than just shredded cheese. We did the four course experience but shared it because of cost. The meat was good and the style of cooking was good. The house salad was tasty and the chocolate fondue was good. Drinks were good. The price with a shared experience, two drinks and tip was 77 dollars. Not worth it. The food was no different than any other normal restaurant. It wasn't fancy inside at all. If I'm spending that much I better be at a classy place. If we do come back it'll just be for the chocolate fondue.

We had been here a long time ago when I was a child but my family hadn't gone since then! We decided to go again as a family on New Year's Day and it was perfect!!! Ryan was our server and he was professional, knowledgeable and patient! We took our time deciding on our choices for the four course meal and he was so patient with our family's chaos and explained everything clearly and answered any questions we had. He also had a great smile. 😊 The food was delicious and the experience was so much fun! I can't wait to come back.

The most fun you'll ever have eating! It's a little pricey, but SO worth it. Be sure to save room for dessert - I'd recommend the create your own option, with milk chocolate and Grand Marnier. If you're looking for a fun night out, The Melting Pot is it!! (The 4 course meal is time consuming.. best to not be in a hurry!)

Questions & Answers

No! But they're open on Xmas Eve

Yes you can

A 4 course meal, a box of chocolate covered strawberries, a bottle of wine, and dozen roses with a based.

The lounge is the bar area. There are 2 booths, and a handful of tall, high-top tables that are family friendly. It also includes AT the bar rail, which is for guests 21 and older only. The patio is only open when the weather permits, and does not include cook tops for fondue...although you may get happy hour drink specials on the patio. Happy hour in the lounge includes half priced cheese and chocolate, monday thru friday, from 4:00-7:00.

Yes. They use Open Table to make online reservation. I recommend that you make them as far in advance as you can. You can also do special requests online or the phone. On our wedding anniversary every year I request the romance package. Well worth it.

There are some chocolate fondues that contain peanuts, but they list all allergens on the menu, so you should be able to check there. If not, you can ask the servers and they can tell you. They have amazing staff!
