The Wooden Spoon

Visited the wooden spoon for the first time, wanted to try a new place and so happy we did, not only is the food fantastic and makes you wanna go back for more, the owners were wonderful as well, kinda made each customer feel like family and that's a rare thing these days. Although it's a small place it's so worth checking out if you haven't already, I know I'd go back in a heartbeat.

So good! Not a lot of seating, but worth the wait if you catch them during a busy time. Great staff, and everything we tried was legit.

If you're looking for good food. Seeking a quaint and cozy restaurant for an early breakfast or a simple lunch. This is the place to be! The staff was great and the recommendation of the angry Irishman was definitely the right choice for breakfast this morning. I would honestly say come try it for yourself before it becomes well-known and overcrowded. Great job chef and staff! I recommend and I will be back!

So great! All the staff were so accommodating and super nice! Excellent atmosphere, you can tell there are regulars that visit which is nice to see. We had the omelet and it beats others we've had at restaurants. The ingredients were numerous and it was so fluffy. We also had the caramel macchiato pancakes, decadent. I'm glad my husband and I split them. The hashbrown casserole was better than Cracker Barrel. All around an amazing experience, they were so sweet to our son, too. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful little family place, the food was fantastic and service was awesome!!! Only thing this place is missing is alcohol...we were hoping for mimosas & bloody Marys. But this is only a small detail, I'll definitely return.

So disgusted. Looks like I was here 11 months ago and gave 3 out of 5 stars. Well today I'm here with my children. It just happened to be nearby my destination this morning. Walking in we got looks from the people like where do those black folks think they are going. Still came in. Wasn't greeted as we sat at a table. The menus and silverware were just dropped next to each of us. The waiter was clearly short with us versus the tone and attitude given to my table. My 7 year old was starving or I would have left. This attitude is continuing as I speak and I'm trying hard not to vocalize it. So im putting in my review now. I dont anticipate it getting any better. It's sickening to watch this happy attitude with all the white folks, but we get a short to the point and annoyed attitude. Asked about a menu item while ordering and I got a tone like I shouldn't be asking questions. This is ridiculous. Shame. The menu looks good and a bit unique.

40 for 2 people for breakfast. And the food was mediocre at best. The b & g was gross

Nice little hidden gem breakfast eatery. They have really good homemade breakfast food. Their omelets are a nice size portion. The owner is super nice and funny. He is very hospitable and accommodating. If you like home cooked meals where there is hardly a crowd and friendly faces then this is the place to be. The mornings during the weekdays are not packed so try this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

Like Please! Special order: (Denver/Florentine combo) Plate: clean, colorful, nice, fresh products. Taste: cooked well; Spinach matches well with the bell pepper/mushroom/onion mixture. (Often undercooked by other restaurants on a large order.) Quality: The mixture of Baby Swiss, bell Peppers with the Spinach, and Mushrooms is to die for by anyone who is a avid Omelet lover! (Best review I've given.) The Hashbrowns were a bit mushy (personal choice), but Normal Quality. Service: Service was good, Server maintained distance. But was spot on caring for my needs. Location: A bit hard to spot for a new customer, but we'll worth the Slight search. Could use a Cafe Neon Sign to help.

The best sourdough toast I’ve ever had with exceptional service. My husband and I each ordered an omelette and everything was excellent. Hash browns were well-done upon request and the iced tea was great as well. This place is totally underrated! We will definitely be coming back!

Great food. Wayne was extremely nice and I enjoyed a cup of coffee, and great stores. Nice hometown feel. Looking forward to returning.
