The Wellsboro House

The first time we went our waitress was Savanna, she had no personality, was kind of rude. The food was extremely underwhelming. The french fries tasted like they had been sitting in the back partially cooked and then re-fried for our order and then they have the nerve to charge $3-$4 to add fries to your sandwich. It’s a great spot and a cool restaurant, great beer selection. They offer what seems to be a cool train ride. We stopped back in for just beer and Kristy the bartender was so condescending when asking about the beers, she also just directed us to look at the chalk board instead of being personable and talking beer with us, too bad your staff sucks. We will not be visiting this place again.

Food was so yummy. Looking forward to coming back with my friends. It has a great atmosphere. Kinda of like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed.

Usually everything is really good and timely, the southern chicken sandwich is excellent. With the food comes the bad. $10 for 5 barely filled rangoons is a bit ridiculous. Over an hour wait to get food, over 15 minutes to get drinks, and then over half an hour to get the rangoons was insane, especially with a toddler. Come to find out they cook for the dinner train... 2 hours before the departure of said train. Overall, we were there for an hour and 20 minutes with an apology from our waitress. If you’re going to keep customers for an obscene amount of time especially with hangry kids all because you’re cooking for the train, don’t serve past a certain time, offer a warning, or knock money off. Don’t make customers wait forever wondering what is going on.

Very nice place, great ride for bikers. The food was delicious! It was not busy when we arrived but it took a very long time for our drinks. There is also a dinner train across the street from this restaurant. All in all I would recommend and visit again.

Great Beer selection. Did a flight of 4 everyone, excellent. Restaurant had a good selection of foods. Shared 2 apps, fresh clam strips and chicken cordon blue soup. The strips were flavorful and crisp. The soup was a cream style in a crock. Chunks of chicken and ham, topped with melted swiss cheese. Twisted our arm with dessert, got PB pie. It was delicious, not over sweet and had a thin layer of hard chocolate for the crust. Atmosphere was relaxing sports bar. Worth a trip to Wellsboro PA, , restaurant is located off the main street.

I love this place so much. I'll return family next time. The place has a good atmosphere.

staff is always timely even when they have a full house. the service here is better than most. this place has a good feel to it.

Great Place. If you like IPA or other micro brew, please check this place out. Say hi to the owner Chris and ask him to take home a 32 oz. Can of beer made just for you.

Was super excited to try this place as it came highly recommended when we moved to town. Unfortunately I can't even rate the food or drink as we came in and sat for over ten minutes waiting on a coke and 2 draft beers. Not busy. Multiple waitresses walking around looking busy but no one seemed to be doing anything by the looks of it.

The staff is helpful but not well organized. Food is good and has some thing for everyone. Great crab bites a must.

Got the mussels with white wine sauce. It was freakin awesome. Lots of mussels atop pasta. Cheesecake was to die for. Our server Alexis,was great. Very funny and very attentive. Chris always checks to make sure you are happy, and we always are

I love this place! Went with colleagues to grab dinner and some brews, and was pleasantly surprised how high quality they were. Beers are brewed across the street in the train depot, and especially the Wynkin IPA is a hop lovers paradise. Place is Philly-themed, and the cheesesteak did not disappoint at all. Must visit if you are in Wellsboro

Love this beer! The food is awesome.... Overall, outstanding! If you don't like the Wellsboro House, try New York!

I can’t really give a better review. It took us 40 minutes to get our drinks from the bar. Our food order took an hour fifteen or more. The wild rice side was very undercooked (I mean hard and crunchy) the salmon was just okay. Our waitress was new but the other staff could have and should have helped her.
