Hi Charles, public transportation is available. You could take the MRT (i.e. subway) to the nearest MRT station to transfer to buses. Nearest MRT stations would be Somerset MRT or Chinatown MRT and you could refer to Google Map on the best bus connections. (Changi Airport provides free WiFi or you to get online if you do not wish to purchase a SIM card with data at the airport.) Bus stops are conveniently located about 1 minute's walk away on the same side of the road and the bus stop at the opposite side is accessible via an overhead bridge. Alternatively, you may wish to consider the airport shuttle bus to city if you have bulky luggages. At a price of S$9 per adult and S$6 per child you could hop onto these buses which will bring you to most of the hotels in the city.
