10/10Incredibly friendly staff and an awesome atmosphere. There’s a good amount of seating and I appreciate that there’s a second bar on the third floor making it easier to get a drink.

Coolest place in Norfolk. Lives up to the hype. Super rad clientele.

Fantastic beer selection! I came here for the grand opening, and it didn’t disappoint. They have a ton of space so even on the opening it didn’t feel too crowded. Plus, Codex runs their kitchen and the food is amazing. A great addition to the neighborhood!

great beer selection - lots of variety! fast and friendly customer service. Often breweries can be stuffy and upset if you have questions about beers or want to taste test a couple of options - not here! They were more than helpful and very patient despite the crowd. The food by Codex was delicious! Seating was a tad difficult but I'm not surprised given my positive experience. I'll definitely go back. Prices are reasonable as well!

Imperial gose was amazing

The actual beer is great, no complaints. Our issues were with beer pours and food pricing. With both 6oz and 12oz pours, our glasses were filled to varying heights. I have no clue how full each glass should be filled (no line on glass like some places) for a half or full, very inconsistent pours. Our food was fine but the sandwich was definitely not worth $15, I can get a better food experience by going to codex/pendulum and probably pay less. If veil doesn't adjust I'll go there for 4 packs only and eat/ drink at all the places around ghent.

One of the sickest spots in Norfolk to hang out with friends and drink some amazing craft beer.

First time here, had a couple collaboration beers which were both amazing, staff seemed nice and very informative. Codex makes food in house, I didnt get a chance to try but everything looked pretty good. The real star here is the layout with 3 floors with lots of seating area that seems conducive to socializing. Also a bar on each floor (2nd floor bar was closed but it was a wednesday) top floor had a really nice feel with large open windows with as good of a view as you can get in Norfolk. I look forward to coming back.

Great staff, very friendly. Venue is quite nice, just be aware parking can be a little tricky. Beer is top notch, unique flavors make for a great experience.

Great place. Still very new in Norfolk. Great selection of brews. The galaxy and Simcoe hopped beers are damn good.
