The jumbo scallop appetizer and goat cheese tart salad we're top notch. The NY strip was not. Quite disappointed in the steak. Service was great

The Trellis Bar and Restaurant is a good restaurant located in Merchant Square in historic Williamsburg. It is opened daily for lunch and dinner. It has an nice menu serving soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees. There are daily specials. Service is very good. Worth a visit.

SUCH A CUTE PLACE! My family and I were in Williamsburg for vacation. My boyfriend and I ate here for lunch 2 days. Very good food and a decent cost. Recommend their White Wine Sangria!

Typical bar and grill ... no serious issues of the bad or the good. So go or dont go but it is no great loss if you dont make it.

I ordered a to-go impossible burger from here. It was delicious! It would have been a better meal if it had come with fries, but it came with a salad in a box. I couldnt enjoy the salad because of the strong onions that were in it. My one complaint was there was a disconnect between calling the order in and pick up. The girl who took the order gave no instructions but when we got there they sent us around the side of the building to a pet friendly dog entrance and they had no record of the order so they sent us back up front to where we originally started only to discover our food was there the whole time. We were confused but just ready to get our food and go.

This is a wierd restaurant. I've been here and had one of the worst meals ever and I've been here and had some of the best meals. Same with the service. Hit and miss. The environment is always good and the geographic location of Merchants Square give you plenty to do before you arrive or after.

We went here cause the locals told us about this chocolate cake called "Death by Chocolate" so we had to try it. The food we ordered was delicious, coffee was great and so was the craft beer. So the death by chocolate cake was good, definitely it satisfied my chocolate craving.

Nice atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly. Our waiter David has only been there since July and he was very informative as to the restaurants history and menu. I loved the floors in the restaurant, very unique. We would definitely come back.

While visiting Colonial Williamsburg, we decided to dine at a one of the nearby restaurants. We chose the Trellis Bar & Grill which is part of the Colonial Williamsburg Merchants Square. It’s located between Colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary College. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The menu had a nice selection of dining choices. I ordered the braised pork shank with pork belly cassoulet and southern greens; my wife had “The Burger” sans the bun; it was topped with American and Swiss cheese, bacon. lettuce, tomato and red onion. We both enjoyed our dinners very much. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. If you’re visiting Colonial Williamsburg and are looking for a nice dinner spot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the Trellis Bar & Grill. You’ll have a very nice meal in a relaxed setting.
