The Tavern at Croton Landing

Came here after a evening in the park. Called before hand as we had our small dog with us, and we wanted to make sure we were allowed to sit in the outdoor seating area with him. The lady on the phone was lovely and told us as long as he was friendly 😊Nice little gem just off behind the main road. Server was very polite and checked on us to make sure everything came out okay. I had spinach turkey burger and he had the steak sandwich. Both big portions, didn’t leave feeling hungry. I had the spring berry mules, was very refreshing. Menu had a lot of variety. Would recommend.

Great menu and fantastic service! This Tavern French Toast was ridiculously delish, and the red sangria is amazing! The nachos need a bit of help though, TBH.

We were out exploring the world as it is in New York state, and the name Croton On Hudson just sounded so appealing we had to check out the village. It was a dreary rainy day, and we were looking for a place to grab a meal and relax for an hour. For some reason we just couldn't find anyplace to go, and then we passed by The Tavern. We were very pleased with the quality of the food, the wonderful service, and the relaxed home town atmosphere of the place. We both ordered specials, mine being a glazed salmon and vegetables, my wife had a grilled chicken salad. Mine was just about the best piece of salmon I ever tried, and I've eaten literally a ton of salmon! Perfect portion size, expertly cooked. I would have been totally happy to stay all afternoon and ride out a nice beer buzz, it is just that kind of place. But alas, we had other fish to fry. If we didn't live 1200 miles away we'd certainly make it one of our regular spots.

We are staying at the Half Moon Bay Marina and by not having a car your options to eat are limited here. Thankfully The Tavern is 1 mile away from the Marina and it is a beautiful walk by the water with sidewalks all the way. It is a small place and a locals favorite. The ambiance is fun and the place is not a dark tavern style. There is outdoor seating where we saw people with their dogs. Service is good. They have a full bar: liquor, beer and wine. The food selection is interesting and the items we had were all very good. The buffalo wings are some of the best we have had: crispy yet juicy and not greasy. The Reuben sandwich was delicious: tender corn beef and good bread. The Greek calamari salad was tasty and with a good homemade dressing. The buffalo shrimp is grilled shrimp and then tossed in buffalo sauce: juicy and tasty. The prices are good. Our experience was so good the first night that we came over for a second night and brought a group of boater friends along.

Friendly staff, easy walking distance from the marina, great wings and lobster rolls. If you love clam chowder this is the place!

I think this restaurant/bar has the best mixed drinks around. The food is great too, and it's a casual place to relax for a meal.

Was a nice stop on our ride home. Staff was very friendly and clearly a popular choice with the locals. A touch pricey, but not out of reach. It's up against the highway, but sat outside to bask in the afternoon sun anyway.

I actually liked their dishes and service, good location close to my house. The cashiers are always very nice. I highly recommend this place.

This spot is worth a visit. They serve big portions for affordable rates. Always well kept and with excellent vibes. Highly recommended.
