Great atmosphere and fun mom and pop feel. The blackened chicken and bowtie pasta is phenomenal!! The depth of flavor was amazing, I was instantly transported to the bayou. The staff is very friendly and the family packs are economical. My husband and I got a family pack for lunch ($30) and stuffed ourselves yet we had enough leftover for dinner for our family of five. Will be back often!

Expensive, mediocre food (blackened steak wasn't even salted, no actual blackening seasoning), long wait, empty restaurant. $7 for a single slice of the cheapest frozen pecan pie was laughable. Only thing that might have been considered good was deep fried potatoes (though they were still a little raw in the middle.)

Came at 940 and they said they stopped serving at 945. Not happy

Food was great service was a little disorganized, but I'd definitely go again.

First time trying today, this would have been wonderful if the blacken chicken wasn’t so tough and rubbery. I ordered the blacken chicken bow tie pasta. On the fence if I will try it again...not being a big chicken eater.

Cajun Island is every bit as good as the food I've had in New Orleans! Our server, Greg, was awesome! We will definitely be back.

In the mood for great food. This is your spot!

The rice and beans have enough sodium to last a year. The gator gumbo had burnt pieces of something and gator that I had to spit out. The etoufee was barely edible (The only reason it didn't get 1 star.) All of food had a black burnt look to it instaed of red or brown. If you look at pictures of any of the listed good, none of it will look like this did. I've eaten in New Orleans several times and it never tasted like this. I had high expectations and was just sorely let down. Don't waste your time or money.

Absolutely love this place atmosphere what's great the food was to die for definitely recommend the pasta with the crab and shrimp and lobster sauce oh my goodness the etouffee was delicious

Delicious food and fun festive colorful setting! Wait for 6 meals was less than 15 mins! Will be back soon!!

The Blackened Chicken with Bow Tie Pasta is their signature dish and it’s GOOD! You will love the mix Cajun and French flavors. Also, the portions are crazy! I will most definitely come back to Cajun Island.

Burnt chicken or grease needed changed, red beans and rice was good 1st time so I went back and ONLY got red beans with rice and it wasn't as good as the 1st. Haven't been back since.

My first time eating at Cajun Island the food was very good. When I returned a week later, I ordered the blackened chicken quesadilla and got a pile of mess. The chicken was not sliced. The chicken was in huge hunks. I returned and asked for a refund. The guy at the register was mean and nasty and threw my money to me. I am done patronizing Cajun Island.

First time going to the Cajun Island I had the blacken chicken salad and it was delicious. I will be going back
