The Soup Kitchen

Now that it's getting cold again, I decided to give this place another try as I haven't been in a long time. It was so good. The soup hit the spot on a very cold and windy day.

I really wanted to like this place. We tried the hearty vegetable soup, Brunswick stew, turkey sandwich and B.L.T.. The soups were bland, almost watered down. The sandwiches were very basic, with sub-par ingredients. My kids could have made better sandwiches at home! To top it off the prices were steep for what we were given, we had to wait quite a while both before and after ordering, and the staff just seemed frantic, disorganized and grumpy. I would rather have gone to Panera!

Amazing soup, but subpar cornbread (didn't taste like anything at all). Liking forward to trying more soups here in the future.

I like supporting small business that is one of the reasons I come here to eat my daughter and I stop several times a week eat in and also get to go orders I stopped in today to get my daughter and I to go food spent $30 don’t mind because the food is great but the service is not so great the lady behind me got a card and the lady stamped it after five stamps she get something free I didn’t get a card she didn’t even offer me one I didn’t know they gave them out never been offered one so when I asked for one she totally ignored me so the lady behind me spoke up and said she didn’t get a card lady had attitude and gave me the card after today I won’t be needing that card because I will not be back that was rude and very unprofessional she was very rude I know longer will be given my hard earned money to this business I will miss the food but I’d rather have good service as well and someone that wants my business

It's good, just not five star good. Great for a hot cup of soup and very well prepared grilled cheese

Tasty potato corn chowder (broth could be just a little thicker) and wonderful, hearty bread. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good prices.

First time here and the items we got were tasty. Chicken bacon ranch sandwich, Philly Chz Sandwich, Snowcrab soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, & jalapeno cornbread!!

Watered down and the pots they were in was gross
