The Skinny Mermaid

I can not contain my excitement for how elated I am to have a healthy fast food option in Cocoa Beach! We were immediately and warmly welcomed by Chef Chris and Shane... shown the menus, their recommendations, and promptly ordered our picks. Our food was prepared beautifully and so quickly! Chris and Shane have such great personalities who don't mind sharing their story of start up and are beaming with pride and enthusiasm! The time and effort that goes into preparation speaks for itself with every bite! I chose the trident of a base, tofu, mango, pomegranate, edamame, sweet corn, avocado, with a spicy sauce. Oh my heavens: DELICIOUS!!!And it should be mentioned: all food items served in a compostable bowl/cups/straws, with compostable utensils! All other restaurants please take note! Considering how close this is to my Florida home... I will be happily skipping here quite often!

The Poke bowls and Island bowls are so tasty and full of flavor. Everything tastes fresh as well. The only thing I'd say is the bowls come with a lot of rice, which is good because then you have leftovers. I'd def ask for extra protein since it's so good though. Also tried the Boba tea and it's really refreshing. I'll definitely be back.

Owners really take pride in their poke and boba. I cannot believe how reasonable it is

This place is amazing, the service was super friendly and efficient. Our food came out very quickly and tasted freshly prepared. I can't recommend this place enough based on the delicious satisfying food alone, but the fact that I didn't have to feel guilty sipping from agave straw in a compostable cup was a great added bonus. I'm already looking forward to my next meal here.

We stopped in on a Sunday for our first visit and the two owners took the time to walk us through the entire menu and help us decide. Everything was fantastic! Our bowls we're delicious, and the boba tea was tasty and fun! We'll be back often!

This is what Cocoa Beach needs more of!! Totally customizable and selections to suite every taste. I have looked at the menu several times before going in but I still felt a little overwhelmed when making a selection. The two gentlemen working were incredibly knowledgeable and easily guided me in the right direction. They know about carb count, protein content, etc. I was thoroughly impressed with them and my selection tastes terrific!

Okay so I just got a chicken burrito and a fire island bowl. The chef described the fire island bowl as a deconstructed spicy tuna roll. I can't give this meal enough stars. The chicken burrito is absolutely amazing with rice chicken green sauce I don't even know what it is but it's delicious. The fire island bowl is rice tun a onions I think pine nuts? My God is delicious. I've eaten at the skinny mermaid twice now and both meals have been absolutely incredible. The staff is friendly, and despite these crazy times we're in they are just an amazing business. It's a wonderful addition to downtown Cocoa Beach!!!!

Awesome local spot!! Totally customizable meals- but great chefs who helped me out in creating the perfect tuna poke’ bowl. Serving size is more than enough, tuna tasted super fresh, and the whole vibe was healthy and clean. Having a small business down the street, I know l’ll be going there for lunch a lot ! Stoked to have this place nearby.

Great new place in Cocoa Beach. Really clean inside, super fresh ingredients, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The menu offers a lot and everything I've had has been so delicious. Can't wait to come back and I strongly encourage you to go check it out yourself - Cocoa Beach needed exactly this!
