good food, service could be better

We walked in on a Monday afternoon, absolutely empty restaurant and a family of 4. The tables for a party of 4 had half of them getting the view of the ocean and the other half get no view at all. We noticed a table for 5+ RIGHT NEXT TO IT with a beautiful view and asked the server if we could sit there. There were 2 people serving( one behind the bar and one waiter). Mind you, in an empty restaurant, the waiter for the food absolutely refused to seat us in the 5+ table. We asked him a few times, but he without acknowledging us, starting setting up the table for 4 quite literally forcing us to sit there. After a point in the argument, when you know you're not welcome in the restaurant we left. Not wanting to ruin our vacation, we walked into Tony's restaurant where the customer service is 10x better. I highly recommend Tony's over The Shrimp Lover.

Love this place, i would of gave it 5 stars but they recently switched to cash only, i never carry cash so now i have to in order to come to this place, otherwise great food for a great price.

It's like boiling crab. If you are from Louisiana, it is not as authentic Cajun as you would like to be. This is ran by Thai folks. However, the food is really good. I had the shrimp and fried seafood. The taste is really good and you can ask to adjust spice level.

Been there twice! Love their crawfish boil. Right on the deck, easy and the view is great too!👍

I come from a big family and when we became adults it was hard to find the time to hang out. Its been years since we all have sat at a table together so when the opportunity came about to reconnect I hop on it. The idea was to have dinner with the original 9 siblings but everyone had a plus1. Our dinner went from 9 to 18 quick and 18 turned in to 22. The restaurant I originally wanted could seat such a large party. A sibling suggested Shrimp Lovers and I called and booked with no problem. From the moment I arrived the staff were waiting on me and my family hand and foot. The food was amazing and pricing reasonable. We didnt have to look for anyone when we needed something there was someone always there to answer any questions. Not to mention the view of the Redondo Beach. The View made it even more chill with positive vibes. Thank you to the Staff and Cooks for hosting me and my family.

A little pricey but it’s up top with a view to the beach and the food is good.

I'm a big fan of seafood and I love the huge amount of crab and shrimp that comes over. I especially love the seafood platter where they serve a little of all (crabs, shrimp, clams etc.). I especially enjoy eating it spicy. But there are other styles to choose from such as fried or roasted. It's a great experience to eat an excellent lunch with an ocean view.

The shrimp and all the seafood was great. I would suggest eating with a coke and... the way u eat it is that u just grab a seafood with your hands and eat!! The sauce ..medium spicy.. was amazing and the tomyangung was nice as well! Ordering rice would soften the spice inside ur mouth!!
