Still outstanding classic Charlotte restaurant... Great food for the money... Can't go wrong!!!

I've been coming here for several years and it never disappoints. It can be crowded at times because it is no secret how delicious the food is. The tarragon walnut chicken salad us what I order most frequently but the Monterey chicken wrap is also fantastic! When the weather allows, the outdoor seating is wonderful.

There is literally a bug in my food. I wish I could give them less stars. Before the bug the chicken was bland and uneventful. The service is mediocre... I will be requesting a refund when I get off of work.

Great Potential... My husband and I ordered two carry-outs (rotisserie chicken dinners). The chicken had a good flavor; however the meat could’ve been cook a bit longer (skin on chicken was rubbery & hard to chew). We both ordered Mac&cheese and collards. Not sure what was added to the “creamy Mac&Cheese” we believe it was tomatoes and green onions (both a taboo in southern Mac&Cheese); the collards were tasty though. The corn muffins were made with jalapeños (okay), would’ve been great the traditional way. So, overall not bad; but definitely could scale down on all the extras added to traditional Southern Foods!

Awesome spot! Had the Friday Meatloaf Special with the mashed sweet potatoes. Nice booth in the back to catch up with my best friend in the Whole Wide World. ♡

The food is not as good as it use to be. I've been going there at least once per week for years. The menu says "hormone free" chicken. Usually hormone free has a different flavor. Last weeks chicken did not taste fresh and hormone free. I will give them a couple more visits before I quit going entirely.

Food was good and large portions, great variety of comfort food, large number of items to choose from. Service was fast! Reasonably priced as well. . More than I could eat! Atmosphere was down to earth, not glitz or pretensious. Customers, a mix of all social strata, come there to eat, not see nor be seen. If good comfort food, lots of it, old fashioned country store decore, suits you, you will enjoy your visit!

Just ok, my chicken sandwich was sitting in it's juices I guess and the bun turned soggy, almost impossible to eat. Other people had meatloaf and other items, I'll probably order something different next time.

A M U S T S E EIf I am not mistaken this is where IT ALL STARTED!!!! Now there are several of these awesome restaurants! This is located in the hopping Montford scene. This place features a full bar that easily enough makes the place worth going to. But wait there's more!!! (Billy Mays Reference) They have meals that are H O M E C O O K E D! They are clean and fresh and taste like they were made in your home kitchen. They are not overly salted or processed tasting at all. They are great tasting and there are plenty of options for sides and main courses. They also have several assortments of hot sauces that spice up the place. The place is also healthy and there are some options if you are on some dietary restrictions. The service is good in these places too.

The food was much better back in 2015-2016. The garlicky potatoes tasted really old. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor and was pretty mushy. The baked beans are still great though. I’m just disappointed every time I eat there unfortunately and I really love the place.

Baby, when I tell you the food is A1. My first time eating there was this evening and I was very pleased with my meal. I will be recurring customer. I give this restaurant a 10 out of 10. Keep up the great work!

I always want to like RoCo but they are super inconsistent with customer service and product availability. I've probably been there a few dozen times over the last few years and the Jaco Pork on Rice is my "go-to" but even then I find it a 50/50 shot on how well its prepared.

Customers seemed happy to be there. Waitstaff weren't very Postmates friendly. The cook was quick to answer questions for me, and to direct me to the napkins and tableware I needed.
