Unique setting and filled with history. But, if they are busy (at least when we four visited) the service may be slow and food served is barely warm. Steaks almost cold and baked potato would not melt the butter. Replaced food items were served hot so figure that one. Not just our service, we saw others sending back food. The manager did compensate however.

Charming service, authentic setting, and while the menu isn't more than a page, it's great food.

Been here several times. The food has always been great. The service is hit or miss. The seating needs to be updated - it's uncomfortable and can leave you with a back ache.

If you are in town, this is a must!! Be careful, the bread is addicting and may just want to make a meal of the bread but you would be missing out on some fantastic entrees. We need to come back because there were things we didn't get to try that simply sound amazing!! What we did have was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Service was good but we were there early, it wasn't busy yet.

Wonderful food, service, atmosphere and cocktails. This is my favorite place to visit in Bardstown.

The Black & Bleu Mushroom burger was fantastic. Food service was slow taking over an hour for our food. Brussels were meh (would suggest quartering or halving for more flavor area) but the mac & cheese made up for what those were lacking. The front page of the menu is fun to discover more about bourbon terminology.

We decided to go to The Rickhouse for our anniversary. We weren't disappointed. The staff was very friendly and our waitress checked up on us often; even with her busy tables.We ordered Sirloin Alfredo and Blueberry Salmon, and both were amazing. We also got the 11 Cheese Macaroni and it was incredible. Every bit was different, and it literally got better as you ate it.My only complaint is that the restaurant is a bit hard to find. We went in the evening so it was quite dark. Their signs are black, which make it harder to locate.

Our party had the bourbon chicken and hot brown for our meal. The hot brown was very good, but the eater of the bourbon chicken reported it was the best chicken he'd ever eaten. High praise. I thought the highlight of the evening was the flight of bourbon. The restaurant and bar have delightful atmosphere. It was raining, but the outdoor seating looked inviting.

Excellent food! Great service! Huge portions! The steaks are the BEST!

Pretty nice place. Pork chops were excellent, got 2 drinks with bugs in them, got replacement drinks but no manager came to apologize and wasn't offered anything off of the bill.

The waitress was great. Food most excellent. We had Chicken cordon bleu crepes. The warm brie salad was so delicious. The steak linguine was rich and creamy and the steak was so tender. Only reason we give 4 and not 5 stars: we planned ahead and made a reservation. Upon arrival we were told our table was still occupied. We waited for 20 minutes, no one came out. There were 3 hostesses (seemed excessive) another couple, with no reservation arrived, two of the hostesses were gone and the third girl took the brand new couple back to seat right away. We complained to the other two ladies when they returned. Guess since they earmarked a table for us, they couldn't move us to another open table. Thought the front desk could be a bit more organized.

Everything bourbon. Good food. Had a little trouble with our reservation. Although we had a confirmation on our phone, they had no record. All good though. They got us in.

Very unique building inside... Nice atmosphere, service was great... I had the Mac and cheese burger... Great tasting burger very filling... Make the effort to check out this jewel of a restaurant... Reasonably priced for the quality of the food

Went here on a work trip one night for dinner. The food is absolutely in a class of its own. If you want to have dinner in a nice low-key atmosphere and would enjoy a steak, that you can cut with your fork, then I highly recommend the Rickhouse. Also, the matradee's and all staff are top shelf in my book !!!!
