Had the pancakes this time! Fluffy and nice portion! Not too big! Staff were nice as always! Always a come back too!

We had a fabulous meal here. The cocktails were excellent, the octopus was the best we’d ever had (perfectly cooked and full of flavor...I realized that I’m not sure if I’ve ever known the real, not overcooked texture of octopus before this), and the service was wonderful. The lobster roll was also great. I can’t wait to come back for their happy hour, which also looks great.

We came on Sunday with a large group for happy hour which was a great experience. Make sure to get there early as there will be a line before they open at 5. Got there around 4:45 and we were fine to get a table for 7 + a stroller. They are very kid friendly. The food happy hour is great. $1 oysters were tasty and a steal. The shrimp and avocado sliders are delicious. The tacos were fun. My friends enjoyed the drinks. Definitely a fun Sunday spot. Dinner comes with a little cup of chocolate pudding for a taste of something sweet after.

I had heard so much about this place from almost everyone I encounter on the UWS. I finally made the time today and it was worth it. One of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. Def recommend the mac and cheese and the pork chop also.

This is the go-to place for me whenever I’m craving for oysters. I have come here for happy hour for 3 years. The happy hour menu here is just perfect, with the combination of good price, nice wine selections, and delicious food. Their happy hour is 5-7 everyday, but if you don’t want to wait for too long during weekends, try get here as early as 4:55. Oh and they have lobster combo every Sunday night which I don’t think is on the menu. Ask the server if you wanna try.

Great atmosphere and delicious food! The grilled northern salmon is a great success! The Tuna dish my friend had wasn't bad either. Only point off for the French fries, they were slightly cold.

Very famous oyster bar in New York City. Ideal to share a good time with friends and catch a drink and some oysters. Nice decoration and service

For a fabulous seafood experience on the UWS - Mermaid Inn is a wonderful choice! I have been here for brunch, happy hour, and dinner. Without a doubt I can say that the lobster rolls are close to the best you can get in the city! Some of my friends LOVE the oysters! The clam chowder is delicious! And it may not be seafood, but I love the kale salad. Some of the downfalls of the restaurant are the prices, the wait (even if you have a reservation), and the noise. During brunch hours, if you get there no later than 11:30am - this is one of the better times for noise level close to a minimum. The times I have been here for dinner has been quite loud and it is hard to hear your own conversation at the table. Overall, great seafood spot on the UWS!

Lunch time here! The food was really good, I liked how they have it setup inside ( little tight, due to NYC living). I sorta of didn`t feel welcomed! My husband and I realized a bit of racism in the eatery! I am white and my husband is not. I will not return.

We were here for Happy Hour, yesterday. The Happy Hour food choices were great. We had mini lobster rolls, fried oysters, NE clam chowder, and Spinach crab Dip. The couple at the next table were from Rhode Island and said they thought The Mermaid Inn had better Seafood than they got in RI. They give you yummy chocolate pudding. And who knew that they would make a mean Irish coffee ☘ The staff was very attentive without being overbearing. A special shout out to Andrew, who went over and above at making our dining experience special. He truly went over and above. I can’t wait to go back! Happy Holidays!

Always enjoy visiting mermaid inn. They have a great happy hour for food and drinks. As long as you can get a seat at the bar then all is well. The place can fill up very fast after work

This restaurant is obviously one of the coolest place to eat in the region. Every time I go there I am greatly happy. They always keep their very high level service and the highest level of food they serve. You surely will enjoy this this place. Very recommended.

The brunch menu here was great and made for some difficult decisions. I had the Smoked Fish board and was beyond pleased. It was unique in that it was served with bagel chips versus a traditional bagel. It includes Smoked Salmon and Trout salad. I will definitely visit again! It is a good idea to arrive at opening or have reservations as it got packed quickly.

Good food and decent service, and worth waiting the 15 minutes for a table. The menu was creative and the food pairs were well done. Our waitress made good recommendations and was able to accurately execute our order. Only main complaint was the wait for the bill when our waitress was distracted. Also, this didn't affect us, but if you're going when it may rain and sit outside, make sure you're not beneath the gap between the awnings.
