The Mark

The patio is divine for evening cocktails. The food is incomparably delicious, simple and fresh. My family has celebrated so many wonderful occasions, large and small, in the dining room and event spaces and they were all handled beautifully. By far my favorite spot in Olympia for intimate dinner or special event!

Definitely make reservations. Although the restaurant was not busy when we arrived or left, we felt as if we were an inconvenience. There were only two of us and we offered to leave and make reservations for another time. The chef told us that was not necessary, that she and her sous chef would make it work. The food was mediocre. The patio was lovely.

Such an amazing dinner. The food is so fresh, flavorful and superbly prepared. The owner only selects what's in season and delicious. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you ❤

Food and drinks are great. Pace of service is a bit slow

The Mark took great care of my family for a graduation party we hosted. We had a private room in the back that was perfect for our group of 14 people. The manager was fantastic at helping us create a menu that our family enjoyed without breaking our budget.

The food and staff are amazing. It was so nice speding my birthday here. Eveything was perfectly set up and it made for a birthday I wont forget.

Great find in Olympia! Dark wood and stunning photos set the tone. Those photos are what the owner does when she is not tableside. The wine list is short, Italian and wonderful (we paired our dinner with a lovely red from a maker introduced to us in Siena). My partner swore she had never had such a beautiful filet (Colvin Farms) and the Tiramisu desert was, perhaps, the best we've ever had. The vegetarian pasta dish cost this rating one star and the service seemed confused. Small potatoes. We'll be back to this wonderful Olympia institution.

A blessing for our small city - a true fine dining experience with carefully curated ingredients, simple preparations executed with loving care, and attentive service. We will return - soon. A few nit picks for serious foodies: a few tiny clumps of ice in the otherwise-superb vanilla ice cream; salad a bit unbalanced with only soft lettuces & an acceptable, but oily vinaigrette that lacked the bitter, herbal counterpoints of the best; and grass fed NY steak was tasty and perfectly prepared, but no substitute for the texture & richness of Midwest grain finished. An unexpected highlight of the meal was the BREAD. According to the proprietor, the bread was from Essential Baking Co. Seattle - I’m guessing the Pugliese rustic loaf. The exquisitely fresh, stretchy crumb and salty, subtle nuttiness of the crust drove us all absolutely crazy.

Lisa, the owner, was the best host. We reserved the entire restaurant for a private party and it was perfect. The outside patio in the back was wonderful!

Amazing food! The steak was a little tough but very tasty. Has to be one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. Staff were very friendly. This is no $$ place tho. This is more like $$$$. Dinner for two with two cocktails and a glass of wine came out to 110$. Very tasty tho.

Always the highest quality of ingredients and farm sourced produce. Excellent drinks, desserts and espresso too. Best place in town

Fine dining at it's best with vegan options and fabulous cocktails, my favorite is the vodka grapefruit with fresh squeezed organic ruby red grapefruit juice. The owner is such a wonderful person who takes polaroid pictures and gives them to you. Celebrated a birthday here and the owner and staff made it a very special occasion.

If you're looking for good, organic, vegan food, this is a great restaurant. My friend and I made a reservation and were greeted by friendly staff when we went in. A very nice atmosphere, and the patio was amazing. However, our waitress was fairly pushy and it took us about an hour to get our food when all was said and done. Probably wouldn't go back myself, but would recommend to a friend if it came up.

Long time customer for a reason. Amazing service ftom the host and servers to the chef. A truley great dining experience all around. The Mark served my teenage son and friends for a homecoming and they were so excited at the chance to dress up and go to a 5 star dinner. They talked about it for weeks. If you are in town overnight or lived here your entire life, don't let an evening at The Mark pass you by.
