The Local

Visiting Boone, we stopped by on a whim. So glad we did. Cool funky decor, friendly staff, interesting menu that ended up being tasty, and live music. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second time at the Local. The first time I would have given The Local five stars. The food was great as was the service. However, tonight was a different story. The service was very slow especially given the tables were half full when we arrived. We refilled our own water at one point because we waited so long. The hostess saw us doing this and did ask if we needed anything. While going to the restroom I saw the majority of the wait staff in the kitchen talking and drinking water together. From when we walked in the door it took about 45 minutes to get our food. My wife's flat bread was very good. Two of us had burgers and pub chips. The burgers were about average in flavor and the chips were not hot. Each of the kids enjoyed their food.

I enjoyed a wonderful appetizer at the Local. The drinks are amazing and so are the people that come up with them. Serving staff is a delight. Highly recommended.

The black goat cheese burger was delicuous. I enjoy the whiskey sour. The fries are yummy.

The Local is a fantastic place!!! Great food variety and exceptional staff! We had to give up a part of our table for a bigger party and the manger bought us a round to make up for it. Our waitress, Gabriella, went out of her way to make our birthday dinner extra special with a great dessert surprise!! We really enjoyed the food and will definitely come again!!! Thank you!!

The shrimp and grits was one of the best I have ever had. Artichokes were amazing and Pesto Pasta just perfect. The vibe is great, service great. Extensive menu. Definitely recommend.

The food was absolutely delicious; really great breakfast and lunch options. Everyone at our table ate their plate clean. Unfortunately the older woman serving us on a Sunday morning right at open was extremely unattentive and slow for no apparent reason. Sucks to waste 30 minutes simply just waiting for the check or a water refill, then get a rude response when flagging her down.

Service was wonderful! Server was very attentive. Food was delicious. When in Boone I will definitely visit.

Delicious baked chicken quarters. Loved the "goat burger" with goat cheese! Layed back atmosphere. Will go back!

My go-to bar through college and my favorite place to go when I visit! The bartenders are phenomenal and the food is something special. Definitely some of my favorite wings in Boone!!

The Local has really upped their game in regards to food since the last time I was there 8 months ago. They've always fantastic service. Their Banh Mi sandwich is incredible as well as the Pesto Alfredo. Very reasonable prices. Deck is pup-friendly. A solid place to check out whether you're a local or visiting!
