Bagged tea at afternoons tea? Ugh!! Dry sandwiches. Nothing fancy or even formal about this product. The service was attentive. Expected more, way more!

This was some of the worst service I’ve ever had (like they forgot to bring us hot water... AT A TEA) and I tried to reach out to them about the bad experience through email and they just never responded.

Tea is bagged tea, but they were generous with the water and came back numerous times to refill and to ask if we wanted additional sandwiches or scones. Cute little jams and the cream was yummy. Very polite staff. We didn't stay at the hotel and they were still very attentive. Atmosphere is charming and seats are nice. Had a Groupon and it didn't change the service quality. Overall I would recommend. The scones and sandwiches were soft and fresh. So were the macaroons. I really can't say anything negative. I've been to several afternoon teas, so by comparison and factoring the price in, it's a solid 4/4.5 star.

Very disappointed. To start off the room was nothing special (cheesy and dated) and the tea was bagged tea. There was one waiter and a helper for the whole room. He tried his best but had a hard time keeping up with all the tables. Only 3 basic sandwiches and 2 were rolled/small pinwheel sandwiches. No refills or extras. The scones were cold and hard not warm as advertised. The baked desserts were dry and not fresh as advertised. We’ve been to a lot of trees in Chicago and London and this was the worst.
