The Lazy Parrot

I celebrated my birthday at The Parrot back in November. Really great drinks the service was on point, we all had a awesome time. I went back yesterday with a friend, sat at the outside bar and WOW what happened??? The bartender was rude and seemed more interested in talking to a guy than serving drinks. We had two drinks, the bartender came over and said " Are you all done here?" Well I guess we are.

The food and live music here are top notch! The bar and waitstaff were super nice and helpful.

Had the Parrot, no onion no bun. Excellent, grilled chicken, mustard and bbq sauce. Cole Slaw had onions, I can't eat those.

Awesome food! Great atmosphere!! Superb staff! This is what my neighborhood needed ! I love the Parrot! Its great to have a awesome place i can walk to from my condo to have a bite, some good drinks with friends and enjoy some live music 🎶

Good sports bar environment with two dining areas. One is indoors with a sit at bar and other seating. Large televisions all around with a variety of sports programs playing. The other dining area is a large patio centerpieced with a large sit at bar. The staff was very friendly and had great customer service skills. The menu was extensive for a sports bar with many seafood and typical sports bar food. The food was well prepared and tasty. The french fries were perfect. They also make their own potato chips which are served hot. Also very good. The only negative for me was how loud the interior dining room was. It didn't seem to bother anyone else in my party of eight. I do recommend this restaurant.

Extremely loud at lunch, would hate to hear it at night or when they have music there. Too loud to have a conversation. They have done a nice job on the remodel other than the noise. Our server, Hailey, was very good. She kept an eye on our beverages and refilled when low. Very large menu, lots of choices. We ordered Regular Reuben, Turkey Reuben, Gyro, and Buffalo Chicken dip appetizer. They looked better than they tasted. For the price we expected better. I doubt that we would go back.

We first visited Parrot winter/ spring 2019, and found the service, menu, preparation and value to be excellent. My wife loves the Parrot Cobb salad, her favorite menu choice, and I’ve had the Triple Decker sandwich, pizza, chili, and wings on several occasions and all are delicious. I’m anticipating future burgers and large plates too.The owners are from Buffalo NY and during football season the patio bar is chock full of Bills fans, and they love football!!The beverage menu is pretty thorough, and the bar appears well stocked.I must commend the kitchen and their fast completion of to go orders. I live about 8 minutes away and they have always had my order ready when they said it would be, and as parking is tough at peak times, take out is a great option for us.In closing- good food, plentiful and delightful staff, and great service make the Parrot Patio Bar and Grill a wonderful choice.

outside seating is best, homemade chips are a winner, bang bang shrimp, bbq chicken sandwich, all great, oh also sweet tea!!! really nice server!

Our first time at the Parrot was awesome! Friendly staff, great service and affordable great food. We will definitely come back.

Yummy food... great music. Food came out a little slow.

Atmosphere on the patio is nice. Great live music, ice cold beer and friendly staff. Food is great typical Florida fare. Some special items and tasty flare added to typical make it an appetizing change to standard Sarasota. Prices are higher than most with similar choices and type. Some items, like desserts are very pricey. Get ice cream later.Peace to all, end Trump Now!

Great food and service at the bar, but the manager (owner?) refused to relinquish control of the bar TV remotes to the bartender (who did a great job of getting all the games on last week) and couldn't figure out that if there were ten early football games on, having seven out of fourteen bar TVs tied up with two games was going to mean there were going to be a lot of unhappy customers. At one point there was an infomercial on. If I'm only going to get to see six games I can stay at home and watch the Red Zone. Bars pay a lot of money for the Sunday Ticket, having someone who knows what they're doing in charge of overseeing what games are on which TV is not brain surgery. Being a control freak and bad at your job is not a good combination. Will be going elsewhere to see games on Sundays.

Playful outdoor and indoor atmosphere.Excellent prices. Clean with music that is relaxing

We had a great time here, and the band was great. We got seats we weren’t happy with to begin with and they moved us right away. We only ordered apps and drinks but were happy with both. Great place to hang out with music and have a cocktail. Our waitress was attentive and nice.
