The Lawrence

The biscuits with honey butter were out of this world but the Shakshuka was not at all what I expected. While delicious it wasn't what I would have ordered for brunch, I anticipated a hash brown based dish but instead it was chili pepper sauce based, much like a soup. Again, it was delicious but not what I would have preferred with my boozy brunch. We arrived towards the end of the brunch rush however we did wait on our food for a while. Despite the length of wait time and meal ordered the ambiance was lovely and the staff was friendly. I'm sure if I went back again I would not be disappointed.

Quietly one of the most expansive and carefully chosen wine lists in Atlanta, where every one of the many bottles is in service of their elemental, full-flavored food. Their paired-down approach highlights their attention to fresh, quality, local ingredients, letting their intrinsic goodness shine instead of burying it under sauces or superfluous ingredients.

The Lawrence is a very civilized brunch through dinner restaurant in midtown with a pleasant, varied menu. The bar offers a range of cocktails to fit any palate and includes a number of their own creation. If the weather is fair, the outdoor seating is great, and traffic noise is not significant. If the restaurant is crowded it can be a little noisy inside, since there aren't any noise-absorbing surfaces. However, even when crowded the air conditioning keeps up. It's a location good both for a nice dinner out with friends or to take your parents to.
