The Irv

An out of the way pub and restaurant. I had some their own beer and a large platter of food. Beer was good, food was great and service was attentive and friendly. Bathroom was small but clean. I enjoyed myself her and would recommend going here to anyone. I found it was a more relaxed atmosphere then some pub restaurants. Almost like you are dining instead of rush eating.

The service is super friendly! Great beer selection (daily five dollar drafts help), and the blueberry balsamic and goat cheese grilled cheese on challah bread is delicious. Will definitely visit again.

The IRV is an LGBT friendly establishment located in the historic Cabbagetown neighbourhood. As a gastropub it specializes in serving high end pub grub with affordable pints of craft beer. Some personal favourites of mine are the chicken wings and burgers which go nice with a cold pint of craft beer. They serve many different kinds of beer from across Toronto and southern Ontario. If your looking for something different to drink like a gin and tonic, they have high quality spirits too. The staff are friendly, so if you have any questions just ask. If you are looking for a nice patio to sit on during the summer this is a great venue to visit in downtown Toronto.
