Long wait for mediocre fare. Their signature waffles were tasteless and the eggs Florentine aggressively average. On the upside the servers were efficient and friendly.

No idea. The Hungry Monkey restaurant we visited was in Newport, RI.
Not that I know of, that's their specialty.
I know they sell mugs, sorry to say .. I can't answer about tee shirts.

Yes that seems to be people's overall reaction. If you listen you can hear some people very pleased and others not at all. My past visits I've enjoyed the food but found service real slow. I think if you are nit in a hurry you will enjoy this place.
