The Hop Ice Creamery

The production center for all of The Hop's amazing ice cream flavors! The creamery has a tasting room available for party rentals and offers fun new flavors to try every Friday! Take a tour on a Friday night or call to set one up. It's well worth it.

Not really a fan of this location because it is so small. Not only are there fewer parking spaces and fewer places to sit, there are fewer ice cream flavors. And most of them were dairy free. On my last visit they had a Sweet Potato Cheesecake flavor that was actually pretty darn delicious. But I don’t think I’d ever return to this location and risk that they wouldn’t have any flavors that I was interested in. Just go to the other location. Not only do they have a ton of flavors to choose from, but they even have a fun kids corner to play in.

Ice cream tasting sampler! This is where they try out new ideas and concepts. Family business that cares about the local community. What more to say other than damn tasty options.

I have been going to The Hop for years, way before I had kids. I love their flavors! My absolute favorite is Cardamom with Hot Fudge.Shop is warm and inviting for kids. N AVL and West location have beautiful murals and toys for kids. Love, love, love this place.

They have so many vegan options it was like a dream! And the ice cream is homemade so that’s also exciting, because the pricing was typical for just a regular ice cream shop, but it felt like we got way more. Google told us the shop was closed on a saturday, so if it says that, fear not, they are open daily. With multiple locations.

Absolutely my favorite independent ice cream shop in town. They always have something new to try that's seasonally appropriate. They frequently host "flight nights" where you get to try small scoops of multiple fun flavors. They also work really hard to have fun and delicious options available for vegan and gluten-free customers. All around this is a fantastic place to get a sweet treat, no matter the time of year!
