Coined a 'Triple Threat' for music, food and bar, The Hollow Bar + Kitchen is locally-owned in historic Downtown Albany, established in 2013. Our kitchen has been recognized for our approach to New American cuisine, churning out a 2018 Finalist and 2016 Winner for the Albany Chef's Food & Wine Festival 'Rising Star Chef' competition. Aside from traditional fare, our menu offers stand-out vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Our diverse menu makes it possible for die-hard carnivores and vegans to break bread together at the same table. It’s what we strive for in our kitchen and as a player in the local 518 culinary scene. Musically, The Hollow has been known as ‘a stop on the way to the top’ for gifted artists. Our intimate venue came in 1st place, over legendary giant, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, for ‘Best Concert Venue,’ 2018 Best of Reader’s Poll, The Alt Weekly. Honored to have bands such as Kongos, Matt & Kim, The Hold Steady, Twiddle, Fishbone & Amy Helm over the years.

Very nice atmosphere and a place to be on a Saturday evening. Food was very delicious and the service was top notch. We were leaving when the live band was setting up and we could tell it will be an incredible night just by the few songs they practiced with.

Possibly the best wings I've had in a long time. Get the chipotle maple garlic wings! The pear and brie sandwich was creamy and fresh. Polite and friendly service. I'll definitely be back soon.

Great venue. The bar staff were awesome and the nachos were extremely good! Saw the band Magic Giant.... What an awesome and intimate setting!
