I love this food. The spicy at first was supper hot but i got used to it a little. Still amazing food

After a late night of partying or just working halal guys hits the spot. They offer you 2 platter options chicken over rice or beef gyro of you can get a mix. They have two sizes small or large and it always comes with a side of Pita bread and salad. You always have the option of just getting everything on a pits if your not a fan of rice. Warning on the Hot Sauce this stuff is hot!!!!

Always one of the best places to eat in New York; their rice platter is a big portion usually good for 2 people ! Also a must try is their "Baklava" (its a desert - sweet puff pastry filled with nuts). Be careful of the Hot Sauce - its really really HOT !!

Amazing service and outstanding food. This is a definitely must try when you go to New York City. It’s one of the first few food trucks in the area and has stayed true to its authenticity till now. We got the sandwich with chicken and it is overflowing with greens and chicken. Do note the spice does pack a punch! If you can’t take spicy food, avoid it. 10/10. Can’t wait to return back to New York to eat this again!

Absolutely worth the hype!We both loved it - I had a combo bowl with beef and chicken. It comes with salad, some sort of pitta and rice all with their "white sauce". The rice was incredible and the meat well cooked - with the sauce it made probably the best street food I've ever had.My partner had the falafel gyro. Again she loved it - all the same as the bowl just wrapped in the bread. Easy to find their yellow vans and the guys were friendly and quick to serve though there was always a buzz of people around them. Cash only I think. Cost us 15 dollars which was nothing for the portion.Absolutely recommend to try them out.

I decided to get the large combination plate which was about $9. It's half chicken and gyro, salad, rice and pita bread. Don't forget to get extra white sauce because that's one of the best part of this dish. The chicken and gyro was flavorful and cooked just right. The rice and salad adds a nice touch to the dish. I wish they gave more pita bread slices.Honestly, I should have brought some back to CA because now I'm craving it.

Halal guys is an amazing place to eat. Its pretty cheap. For just 8 bucks you can get enough food for one and half people so three people can enjoy from 2 meals. If you are really starving than one plate is for one person. I would recommend to eat with white sauce, their white sauce is the secret. The only draw back is that they don’t have a place to sit/ dine in, that make it very hard to eat in winters as their line is too long. Other than this highly recommended.

Amazing amazing food. We ordered the gyro platter. It comes in two sizes: regular $9 and small $7. One of the best and cheapest we have ever tasted. The beef was so tender and juicy. Just be prepared for a long-ish wait.

Best soul food ever. Make sure you are on the right side of the street. Yes the one with the huge line. And get more white sauce - there's never too much!

The halal guys stand in New York is amazing. They have best gyro compared to most places. If your hungry stop by here and get some food. Small gyro with rice is $7 and the large is $8. Really good food for the price.

I'm from California and LOVE Halal guys. Coming to New York to the original Halal guys is just simply, PERFECT. hate to to say, better than home. A must try when in town

Everyone got the plate combo and most people couldn't finish. The hot sauce... Is HOTTTTT (I like my hot sauces but this was hot). Do not use more than one, and mix with the high calories white sauce. Place was busy for a food cart. I think he appreciates it when you speak his native tongue to him. Great street food!

I was returning customer to these guys after a span of three years. And this time after having their food I felt that their food is not that nice as it was few years ago. We even couldn't finish half platter. Even then it's good place to visit have arabic food in city center of NY. I hope next time it will be better again.
