The service, food, and atmosphere is charming beyond belief.

My server, Maggie, was wonderful, attentive but not intrusive.The garden patio lounge is pleasant & non-smoking. Music wasn't so loud that we had to "yell" to conversate.I enjoyed watching the wind move across the wall of ivy.The sweet potato fries & fried plantains were very tasty. There's a beer for every palate.I highly recommend this place to celebrate any occasion.

Great food and excellent staff. Love coming g here to watch any sports games or just play a game of pool. The downstairs is a nice hidden area to go to if the upstairs is busy.

Good music and versatile place. Has diet Pepsi.. pretzel and "applesauce" (awesome cinnamon apples!) with my chicken pot pie .Also quick service and nice folks

Ready good beer and atmosphere but not so good food. This was a great place to watch a football game. There were big TVs everywhere and they were nice about changing the channel for our game. We got Jamaican wings and poutine. They both tasted kind of bad. The prices were fair and the location is really good.

Seriously. Go here. Great beer. 5 star food at 2 star prices. Super friendly staff. I cannot say enough great things for this place. If you go to Madison and don't visit you will be sorry. Glad I came here on my first visit. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Madison whether for work or pleasure.

I absolutely liked their dishes and customer service, excellent location next to my residence. The workers are always very friendly. Will visit here again.

We came in after our flight for a very late lunch at 3pm on a Thursday. Despite quietly searing ourselves near the bar and grabbing our own menus, we were Quicky spotted by a waitress who brought over waters and was ready for all of our orders. The beer was good, and the food was fine. Our basket of cheese curds went quickly, and the burgers were generous.Tons of TVs hanging up in here, which is distracting for me but a plus for others. Darts, Golden Tee, billiards and shuffle board are all available to compliment your drinking.

Went to a party here and overall a great experience. We had quite a few people but service was attentive and friendly. We had appetizers mainly all are were great.

The service was excellent. We were seated right away and the food came quite fast. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere very nice. It waspeaceful enough that you could actually talk! And this was during their busy time! 😀

Aside from have great beer and awesome atmosphere, only this this location has the best Nashville Hot wings! The heat is a lot, but the flavor is worth the pain! I have never found a better hot wing anywhere ever!!!

Pretty good restaurant; the staff were kind and for the most part showing legit smiles. We sat in the Garden which was pretty good. Our waitress took a little time to do her job and left massive brakes between simple tasks like dropping off the bill and then picking it up. I had the Brat burger which I personally didn't think was that good, it kind of made feel sick but I did have tastes other the other peoples food in my party and it was good. I will defiantly return when I return to Madison next just I will be ordering something else besides the brat burger.

Tried this place in the past with my friend and I am addicted since then. I like the good vibes and delightful food and drinks. 5 stars.

The menu is diverse enough to find something for everyone. The seasonal featured drinks are always delicious too. The staff are well trained and it helps make every visit to The Great Dane a great one!

As longtime customers of the Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company, my wife and I thought the downtown location would be perfect for our wedding after-party. We reached out to the Large Party & Events Coordinator, Tara, who was very kind and informative. We booked the outdoor beer garden but were concerned about potential rain, so Tara also reserved the indoor Rathskeller. Fortunately, the weather held up, but it was a relief knowing we had a backup plan. Our food was delivered on time, the beer was great as always, and the party was a perfect end to the night. Now we can not only recommend the Great Dane for drinks and dining, but we can also add private events to the list!
