Me and a lady friend discovered this DC WONDER!!! on one over our spontaneous "let's just walk out the house" moments. The cocktails were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. The bar tech was AMAZING, she very crwarive and knowledgeable. Words just can't express the GIBSON EXPERIENCE!

Drinks from the menu were limited, but they will cater to your liquor of choice. 7/10 for taste; good, but did not have the wow factor. The place is pretty dark, you'll need all candles you can get to read the menu.

Great drinks selection and the ambiance is fantastic. Upstairs is fairly quiet so easy to have a conversation. Drinks are between $13-20 which is normal-pricey for DC, but for the atmosphere and quality, definitely worth it. A great date spot

Amazing cocktails they do such a good job. Drinks take a few minutes to make but they are worth the wait. Great atmosphere, friendly people, overall great experience.

Tries the mezcal cocktail on the menu first. It was so good I called "dealers choice" on the second drink after telling our server my typical flavor pallet. The communication and service here really stand out because the next drink I was served I was told that the bartender just made it up in the moment. As on, based on what I just told our server. The bartender was writing down the recipie while I was trying the drink. Needless to say it was great. It was exactly inline with what I had hoped based on past reviews, but because the bartender and server were able to adapt you my tastes on real time, it really made this place stand out from the crowd.

Former speakeasy with tasty drinks and a fantastic #atmosphere. Drinks were tasty. Although they don't serve dinner, the snack food was delicious. The fries were spicy and are highly recommended.Make sure you have the address, as there is no signage.

Obviously the best. the cocktails are fabulous. Thanks absolute best cocktails. Most recently I was especially impressed with the playlist. Worth the cost and effort for making a reservation. Don't miss it.

The Gibson has lost its mojo! I have been to the Gibson many times before and was there recently after a couple of years. We were pretty excited to order their seasonal cocktails. When our drinks came, they were devoid of character and the flavor was on par with cocktails mixed at any bar where cocktails are not the specialty. One of the drinks was so flavorless that we literally mixed it with the other cocktail, to spark some life into it. Not something I would expect at a speakeasy, that's been around for a long time.

Very relaxed setting with a cool ambience, the door attendant Was extremely friendly and Helpful in getting my friend and I into the bar even without reservations, although I would recommend making them. The cocktails were fantastic and Made very deliberately with premium ingredients. Will definitely be returning!

Awesome place if you can find it. Come here with the intention of getting awesome cocktails. The bartenders a super knowledgeable and will make you custom drinks at your request. The candles and low lighting make it the perfect date spot. A pleasant blend of laid back sophistication.

What a gem! Great speakeasy with very knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. All the drinks (Man Up, Old Fashioned, Rob Roy) were amazing! I love my scotch and bourbon and these guys know exactly how to make use of them. Location: No visible sign. Just look for 2009. It's in between the Liquor sign and Marvin.
